Sit all the key players against Chicago on the 22nd

We can't afford any of their Adam Banks-targeting style crap this year. Take Kesler, Bieksa, Daniel, Edler, have em in the press-box. Obviously Henrik needs to get in there cause he's the ironman round here, but keep him on the bench most of it. Not only do we avoid any more pre-playoff cheap shots but we send a message to the league that if they aren't gonna do anything in those sorts of situations, teams will take matters into their own hands. They really have left us no choice with how things played out last season. Two games before the playoffs? Can't afford to chance it.

That's the dumbest reason why we sit players. This isn't the NFL. While Chicago may be out looking to hurt our key players, at the same time, we're fighting for a better playoff spot. If we crap the bed up until Chicago and Minnesota is breathing down our necks for the division, then why the hell would we sit our key players?

It's below the integrity of the organization and the type of hockey this team and few others represent.

That's also an ineffective move to negate the supposedly cheapshooting Blackhawks. What will that do for us? A mountain of paperwork to send players down and call others up.

I understand what you're saying; but for the reasons mentioned above this just isn't the best idea.

I could see them, if they've locked down the division after a few more games, alternating a some players in and out on a game by game basis for maintenance/rest.

Not a mass exodus though.

Sitting them down?

Heck THAT Hawks game would be a game for us to get ready for the playoffs.

LOOK AT OUR CURRENT OPPOSITIONS..

The Flames? Avalance? Coyotes? Where are the playoff teams? In my opinion the stretch with the Hawks, Detroit, and Ducks (all playoff teams) is really important to ensure that we are ready for the post season.
