Smashian Kassian
Luongo,Schneider,Lack,Hartzell, thats crazy goaltending depth, although we likely will lose Luongo in the summer.

RunningWild
Pittsburgh Penguins @penguins 17m #Pens sign goaltender Eric Hartzell to a 1-year entry-level contract. Hartzell, 23, led Quinnipiac to the Frozen Four http://bit.ly/10W2bmN
Nas19
Pittsburgh Penguins @penguins 17m 1 year contract? Is that not odd? Isn't he a UFA this summer then?
RunningWild
No I believe he's an RFA. You can only sign these guys to 1 year deals for some reason. The Canucks only signed Lain to a 1 year deal as well.

DeNiro
Cannata>>>Hartzell He played in a much tougher league and performed great. He was a finalist for the Hobey Baker award and was by far his teams best player. Teams only want these players because they're free prospects. Doesn't mean they're all gonna be stars. Blueberries
Hartzell was great this year with a 1.57 GAA and 0.933% in 42 games. Good pickup by Pens. http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=93953
bobopan
My only concern is we've picked up Lain, and he's played 10 games and no points. But then again a free prospect, is a free prospect. Does anyone know how many players we currently have on the roster? Are we near the roster limit?
Joel Heyman
Laganiere is a good winger, he hasn't played center at all really over his entire college career.

elvis15
How do you figure? Hartzell went further in the Hobey Baker process and carried his team all the way to final. He was far and away Quinnipiac's best player. Him having an off game Saturday was really the key to Yale winning. The Bobcats rode him all the way. To say Cannata is that much better is a little presumptuous. I will give you Hockey East over ECAC but Hartzell had a great college career and an unbelievable season this year. bd71
I'd agree Cannata is better, but haven't seen enough of Hartzell to put money on it or anything. Part of my reasoning is Cannata did not have the team to play behind that Hartzell did this year, as they were probably the best team all year in the NCAA. Them not being able to get it done in the finals isn't a reflection on Hartzell n my opinion, and he does seem good, but I think Cannata has more upside.
