Nice move, this should be interesting

My preferred line-up though

Sedin-Sedin-Kassian
Burrows-Roy-Kesler
Higgins-Schroeder-Hansen
Sestito-Lapierre-Raymond

Raymond is always the odd man out. Doesn't to be on the fourth line, but he doesn't really fit or help our top 6/9 either. All raymond does is take ice-time from Kassian, slows his development and confidence.

If it makes anyone feel any better about Arneil, he had Jensen on the 4th line and Darren 'power play specialist' Haydar on the power play for the whole 2 minutes.

I can see now why the Canucks wanted to buy their own AHL team.

That's exactly why Luongo should start... And play all remaining games.

The organization has already said that they're going with Schneider. Get over it. Lou is not the starter.

Schroeder should centre Raymond and Kassian instead of Ebbett. Call him up.

I'm sorry. Have you watched Roy play? He's more or less the same size a Schroeder with a heck of a lot more to offer in the tenacity department. Now that bone AV has to tinker with things putting Kesler on the wing. Were did the three rolling lines go? I'll tell you where it went, it's gone to another weak system that AV and his coaching staff have cooked up.
I loathe AV, I hope this team loses just so they get rid of AV. Flush the lock out season and AV with it. Heck, he should put Kesler into a checking 4th line.
As far as I'm concerned he could have moved Kesler down a line and moved Roy up one to give Kesler the time it takes to get in shape, but keep the guy at his natural position. I"m sure Kesler is thrilled with this move.

Easy there. AV is only tinkering the lines to get different looks for whatever the playoffs through his way. It's pretty lowly to wish the team failure because you don't like the coach.

Kesler on the wing??
Av is a bone head and needs to go period.
Wonder how Kesler like AV stupid moves?

If Av wants to bring back defensive hockey go back to the orginal

Burrows Kesler Hansen shutdown third line ( they could go back to driving teams nuts verbally, physically and also score against the opponents top lines. Now their there just to shut down the opponents and drive them nuts, enjoy themselves and not needed to score)

You'd be better of with Kassian with the Sedins if he could learn to play with them the remainning games.

Sedin Sedin Kassian
Raymond Roy Higgins
Burrows Kesler Hansen
Booth/Ses Lappierre Weise

That would be way more balanced lineup once injured players returned. It may not be everyone favorite position but it could be a very difficult lineup for other teams to match up with and potential of a long playoff run. Besides Sedins have produces for years without a real right winger before Burrows so they could still put up points and have Kassian protecting them aswell.

Ok, but I hope that his line juggling this time has a purpose and he's trying to look ahead and be planning for needing to ajust for the playoffs. We can only hope?

AV's preparing for our last game of the season against Keith's elbow on the 22nd.
He can do WTF he wants with Kass every other game of the year, but he better be on the first line for that one.

I like ebbett as a winger but don't think he has been very effective in the middle. It would be nice to see kesler and Roy develop some chemistry but I think booth Is the winger that Roy needs.

Sedin Sedin kassian
Burrows Kesler Hansen
Booth/Raymond Roy Higgins
Raymond/Ebbett lapierre weise

A fourth line that can play defensively and use its speed to move the puck and forecheck will be more effective in the playoffs. Kesler's line will be matched up against top lines allowing Sedin's and Roy's lines to get favorable match ups.

As good as that sound, come playoff time Ebbett is more reliable.

I like the Roy-Kesler combination, but it makes no sense for Hansen to stay on the Sedin line. Put Kassian there (the one position where he flourished) and leave Hansen on the 3rd line where he plays his most effective hockey.

AV is still of the mindset Hansen is the second coming of Alex Ovechkin.

Looking at Roy's stat-as in one assist-this move of Kes to the wing many help get Roy moving and give Kes a little break and perspective.

You mean CDC still has the mindset?
Hansen is the odd man out in the 'kick Roy in the rear end' move or the 'lose a second rounder and a prospect' is not going to make my GM look very good to the owner when we are bounced in the first round.

What has Kassian done to deserve 1st/2nd line duty? He's terrible defensively and doesn't score, gets out of position to try to throw hits.

It's not so much what Kassian deserve as the Sedins NEED someone to defend them when the going gets tough.

It's not the playoffs yet and we were battling bottoms feeders I don't think the going's gonna get that tough. We may need him there against the blues hawks and ducks other than that he shouldn't be on the top line.

Some people here need to chill out. We are pretty much a lock to make the playoffs so now is the perfect time to experiment. I like this move to juggle the lines a bit to see what works. We have a few games to change up line combinations and then they can still have a few games to develop chemistry.

I don't mind this move at all. I'm glad we are doing it now because if injuries start to occur during the play-offs, at least we did some testing of different line combinations to know who works well with who.

I've wanted to see Burrows - Roy - Kesler together since Roy was acquired. I believe that will be the best second line possible. But the issue will be whether having those three guys play together will detract from the first and third lines. Can Hansen produce with the Sedins? Is Ebbett good enough for a regular top-9 spot? Let's hope so.

I reckon this is a direct result of Ebbett, at long last, showing glimpses of usefulness. His superior skill and speed makes him a better candidate than Lapierre to play with Raymond and Kassian.

I guess once Higgins returns, Burrows can return to the 1st line and Higgins can take his spot:

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Higgins-Roy-Kesler
Hansen-Ebbet/Lappiere-Raymond
Weise-Lappiere/Ebbet-Kassian

Also, if we go deep enough for Booth to return, he can take Weise's spot on the fourth line.

Another irrational hater disguised as a fan.
Ever consider that Kes may be at higher risk of re-injury at C so they are giving him a break outside of the toughest forward position while he gets himself into better shape?

Exactly. There is way more skating involved in playing center and more battles behind our net and the opponents net. AV is just playing it smart. We would have to lose every single game to miss the Playoffs, so why not experiment .

LOL, Kesler on the wing didn't last very long.

Not the only one but there aren't very many of us on these boards. I think he has been steady this season and certainly not the liability that most have made him out to be.

Sounds like AV got it right....Roy at LW - the Selke remains at center...
Roy can still pass the puck as a winger btw...

Ebbett actually hasn't looked out of place... I would rather have him right now than a Schroeder that isn't utilized properly under AV

I disagree, he has looked out of place to say the least. Ebbet is below mediocre, his size limits him to win battles, doesn't have any skill, I'd rather have Schroeder who is small BUT has skill.
