The NHL is a fixed old boys club. I've come to acceptance with that and just watch for entertainment. The 2011 & 2012 Canucks are champs in my books. Go Canucks Go!

Actually, head shotting our MVP resulted in a broken spine and a career ending injury... not to mention all the lawsuit and tears that came with it

in case you don't know what I'm talking about

Useless fourth line plug headshots the MVP of the league ... (yes I know forsberg won, but nazzy was the most valuable player to his team)

He broke his neck because of the 8 man pile up. Bert sent a message, don't cheap shot our MVP, our captain and more importantly his best friend.

No one stood up for Daniel when he get six shots to the face from marchand and no one stood u when Keith OUT OF NO WHERE ASSAULTED HIS HEAD.

Don't feed me that bull... our players have to stand up for each other. Obviously u don't want a guy to leave on the stretcher because of an eight man pile up and have his career ended but I really wouldn't feel too bad if marchand or Keith did.

What are we the Vancouver girl scouts?

I wouldn't mind brining Back samuelson. He was ultimately Keslers best line mate he's ever had. It just worked out so well. Kesler scored 40 goals with him as a line mate..... sigh....

There's a picture of Kassian in here now too, so I'm waiting for the first Hodgson mention.

“That’s a big thrill for me,” smiled Kassian after practice. “He was my idol growing up. He was a great player, he still is, he’s big and strong and skilled and has a mean streak, so there’s not much not to like about him.”

Kassian was still a member of the Buffalo Sabres last season when he hit the ice against Bertuzzi for the very first time, and, well, it was a memorable experience.
“I remember I was behind the net and he grabbed me and said ‘easy, kid’ and I just couldn’t believe it. That was a weird moment.”

Bertuzzi-Kesler-Kassian haha

Edit: I like Detroits and Nucks practice jerseys a lot.

When I think of Bert, I think of this now:

Same here. I hope he gets better to play again.

His bad back has robbed him of so many games now.

Really enjoyed reading this bit from Juice:

“I can speak for Burr and myself and Kes, Bertuzzi was really good with us, he was at the peak of his career when he was here. Him and Markus and Brendan were arguably the best line in the league and it was great for us to come into the league at that time and see the level of skill and dedication that they had. We learned a lot from those guys, especially Bertuzzi, early on.”

Yup. He was having a monster 2003 season. Then he ran into an "injury" that injury I believe changed his carreer in a bad way. He was never the same since. Went from dominating power forward to basic 2nd line power winger. He was really never the same, it was evident in the series against Minnesota.

It's so good to see Bert smiling. I really hope he can continue to play as long as he can.

If Kassian can be anything like Bertuzzi of early 2000's, I will be so happy.
Can only dream for the second coming of WCE with Kassian=Bert, Jensen=Nazzy, and Schroeder=BMo.
