Blömqvist
Excluding the Sedins, is Roy really that big of a factor in our recent offensive burst? Not hating on him, in fact, I love that he is here, and he is playing great, it's just a question for you all.
Henrik Kesler
It's like the moment we get a actually 2C the Sedins can focus on their game that is offense.
Everybody Hates Raymond
Consider this, although being a very small sample size over the 6 games that Derek Roy has been a Vancouver Canuck, the Canucks have scored an average of 3.833 goals per game. Keep in mind Kesler came in 4 games ago, and over those 4 games with Kesler and Roy in the lineup the Canucks have scored an average of 3.500 goals per game. Prior to the Roy acquisition, the Canucks have scored an average of 2.500 goals per game. In essence, and although it is a small sample size, the addition of Roy (and Kesler) to the lineup has increased our scoring by at least 1 goal per game to [3.500-3.833] goals per game. To put that in perspective, the Pittsburgh Penguins lead the league with 3.29 goals per game. So since adding Roy (and Kesler), we have essentially jumped from the middle of the pack to the top of the pack when it comes to scoring.

nuck luck
We've played only teams out of playoffs in the last six games. Nothing to get too excited about.
TimberWolf
Canucks need to make a statement against the Blues. Against the Preds, the Nucks were strolling a bit in the third looking to get lazy cherrypicking goals. Oddly, the bad reffing lit a fire under them I have not seen in a long time and that third period they looked very good.

canucksnihilist
they just needed to get going. didn't play during the lockout, DS recovering last year from an injury. Looks like he trusts himself again. OR: They are not giving it everything, "EVERYTHING" to win the president's trophy this year

WindChaser
what I like more and more about the Sedins is that they no longer rely on refs to call penalties, they've FINALLY learned they cannot depend on refs to make right calls and reward them for not fighting back cant' wait for playoffs!!! Scottish⑦Canuck
I think if you take some of the pressure off of them to provide all of the offense they perform a lot better. I don't think it's coincidental that they've been producing since Kesler and Roy entered the lineup.
TOMapleLaughs
Good signs, but ALL of those teams are out of the playoffs. Let's see how we do for the next 5. That'll allow us to get a clearer picture of where we're at. imho Too banged-up and too shaky on D.
Snake Doctor
Henrik and Daniel have got a lot of years left in them, they won't be slowing down for at least 3 more years.

Nosaj
Just because a team doesnt make the post-season doesnt mean theyre not a good team.. Look @ Columbus & the Rangers. Columbus was counted out and the Rangers were a cup favourite. Playoff contention means f*** all when comparing teams.
Kesler's Nose
What's new, they give us greatness.. Only "r-tards" cry about them, or other teams fans. lol
dank.sinatra
They're still great and have still been putting up very good numbers, but Daniels lack of goal scoring is bothering me. He's on pace for 20-25 in a full season, that's not the Daniel Sedin we're used to. Hopefully he remembers how to score once the playoffs start
DownUndaCanuck
I worked it out before and in the few games we've had a natural 2nd line center (ie. games with Roy and Kesler) the Sedins are well over a point per game, and were scoring on pace for over 60 points over 48 games which would have won them the Art Ross again. In games without a natural scoring center, they were scoring at around a 50-60 point pace. The match-up game is everything for the Sedins, they're smart players who feed off bad defencemen. Throw in another distraction like Roy or Kesler and the twins have a lot more space to move out there.
