This just in: StL is a good team. Esp. at defense. They are sold in the Hitch method and they have to do something THIS season due to all their expensive rfas comin' up.

Getting very few scoring chances against them tonight should not be a surprise. Inexcusable? Yeah, right.

What we're going to find is that our top-6 STILL isn't tough enough to go all the way. Esp. with the injuries.

It's these games that expose the weaknesses that we have forgotten about while we were facing crap teams.

However, StL isn't unbeatable by any stretch.

Agree that offense against St Louis is tough and you are also correct, they really exposed how our top 6 isn't built to handle the playoff hockey (and officiating) we can expect. Tonight was like watching the series against LA last year where our top offensive players were inneffective. We had more of a physical pushback by our goons (Burrows, Ballard haha) than 2 years ago but still failed to produce any reasonable offensive pressure. Same old story since 2011.

What is of equal or more concern is how poor we are in our own defensive coverage. This team consistently is out-shot and out-chanced by a siginificant margin even by teams struggling to reach the bottom. The only thing this team has that keeps them in the playoff picture is their goaltenders.

Too many weaknesses being exposed and if Higgins and Tanev being out are being used as an excuse for giving up 20+ scoring chances in a night, this team is in real trouble. More guys will be hurt in the playoffs and I just don't see the intensity and depth in this team's play to overcome any adversity.

Please AV PLease put Lapierre on the 3rd line, He has 4 points in his last 6 games, We need are third line to be bigger. Max might actually work with them especially in the playoffs where he is at his best!

Im also sick of seeing the 3rd line get pushed around and even though Max dosent produce the most offensively at least he will bring a spark and physical presence considering the fact that he is are leading hitter.

Sorry guys, was at work, not at home on the lucky bed in the lucky sweater where I've been for the last umpteen wins.

Sad I missed it though. From the highlights, looked like it would have been a good one to watch. Liked that there was some physical push back. Would be interested to see it with a days rest...

!^!*&(^@%! the shootout. Ruined a completely decent game in an anti-climatic skill competition. Way to go, NHL.

The Blues are a bunch of goons, nearly as bad as Boston. Good game by Vancouver with some push back, but what a lackluster offensive effort again. Aside from the "rough stuff" (which I don't particularly enjoy), it was a snoozer of a game.
