Heretic
Bob Mckenzie contacted NHL head coaches and asked them to pick one winner and one runner-up in each of six NHL award categories. There were only two requirements: Choose only players in their own conference -- those they've actually seen this season -- and do not pick anyone on their own team. While there are still games to be played, and what happens over the next dozen days could still impact who wins the awards, here are the coach’s (who do not vote on the actual awards) picks: West: - Hart Trophy(MVP): 1. Jonathan Toews 2. Ryan Getzlaf - Calder Trophy(Rookie): 1. Brandon Saad 2. Jonas Brodin - Vezina Trophy(Goalie): 1. Sergei Bobrovsky 2. Antti Niemi - Norris Trophy(Dman): 1. Ryan Suter 2. Francois Beauchemin - Selke Trophy(Defensive F): 1. Jonathan Toews 2. Pavel Datsyuk 3. Anze Kopitar - Adams Trophy(Coach): 1. Joel Quenneville(CHI) 2. Bruce Boudreau(ANA) 3. Todd Richards(CBJ) East: - Hart Trophy(MVP): 1. Sidney Crosby 2. John Tavares 3. Alex Ovechkin - Calder Trophy(Rookie): 1. Brendan Gallagher 2. Jonathan Huberdeau - Vezina Trophy(Goalie): 1. Carey Price 2. Tuukka Rask 3. Henrik Lundquist - Norris Trophy(Dman): 1. P.K. Subban 2. Zdeno Chara 3. Kris Letang - Selke Trophy(Defensive F): Patrice Bergeron - Adams Trophy(Coach): 1. Michel Therrien(MTL) 2. Paul MacLean(OTT) 3. Randy Carlyle(TOR)

Lonny_Bohonos_14
How is MacLean not a lock for Jack Adams? No Karlsson, no Spezza, Anderson and Michalek have missed significant time.. I'll admit Therrien deserves credit too, but he hasn't had to deal with significant losses throughout the year. Quenneville has Toews, Sharp, Kane, Hossa, Keith, Seabrooke.... Neither MacLean or Therrien have anything to compete with that lineup.
Monty
Who I think should win: Hart: Ovechkin. Perry won a few years ago simply because of his late seaon push. If Ovi doesn't play otherworldly, the Caps do not make the playoffs. Calder: Brendan Gallagher. Vezina: Tukka Rask. Norris: P.K. Subban Selke: Jonathan Toews Adams: Paul Maclean. How could it not? This team has no business being in the playoffs with all their injuries. Paul Maclean deserves the award.
:D
Carey Price ahead of Rask in the East? C'mon

greetingsfrombrazil
The flashier ones, not the better ones. Saad is a beast producing at over a 50 pt rate, and Brodin already plays well over 20 mins a night

MoneypuckOverlord
Nothing but as accurate as it gets. By the way, Columbus needs to make the playoffs in order for them to win any or those awards. If not, they don't deserve it.
spliced
Apparently the coaches don't agree with all these people saying P Kane was more MVP material than Toews.

Darth Kane
He's playing on the first line with Toews and Hossa, no wonder he's producing a lot. I like Saad, but I would take Callagher, Huberdeau or Galchenyuk over him.

marleau_12
I'd say, Hart: Alex Ovechkin. Calder: Brendan Gallagher. Vezina: Sergei Bobrovsky Norris: P.K. Subban Selke: Jonathan Toews Adams: Paul Maclean
