oldnews Posted April 18, 2013 Share Posted April 18, 2013 Give the guy a shot. The Canucks don't necessarily need an 'offensive' depth defenseman like Barker. They need a guy who can play simple defensive hockey and leave the upside to the top 4. If he can play a steady Aaron Rome role , I'll be happy. Monteeun Posted April 18, 2013 Share Posted April 18, 2013 Luongo had all the chances in the world and just didn't do enough so thats his own fault. To his credit he seems a lot stronger mentally these days and his game seems more solid so far. Imo the guy being a mental basket case was his undoing not his talent level. Anyway that goal wasn't Barkers fault but if anybody had their eyes open and half a brain they should have been able to see in almost all games Barker has looked slow, lost and a step behind and from what i ever seen of Joslin he unfortunately is no better.
