Lets not have any " they had more to play for" BS after the game tonight if we lose..... last night Ducks lost to CBJ and Cogs was asked if that played a part and he said that is the weakest excuse for a loss .. if your in a playoff spot you want to be playing your best going into the playoffs you dont want to be limping in .. all teams have injuries this time of year and all teams have somthing to play for , be it jobs for next year , a push to get into the playoffs or solidify your place in the standings and get on a roll heading into the playoffs.... losing a game and saying the other team "had more to play for" is garbage. Now lets hope the Canucks can help out CBJ by beating one of these teams fighting for those last 2 spots.

I don't get why we keep going with Ebbett as the third line center. We know that's not going to be the line in the playoffs, or at least we better hope it isn't.

Why not put Lapierre there? At least then we know what our legitimate alternative looks like. But AV seems to like to roll with lines until he's absolutely sure it doesn't work anymore.

The lines should be:

Sedin Sedin Kassian

Raymond Kesler Burrows

Lapierre Roy Hansen

Weise Pinizzotto Sestito

As much as I've sympathized for Luongo and the position he's in, I'm glad it's Schneider who is starting tonight because it means the Canucks aren't being wishy-washy anymore. They've picked their starter and they're running with him, even though the starter has lost two straight and the backup has won two straight. The team can't put Luongo in net just because it feels like a good time to put him in. He'll be in when the team needs him.

Another possible thing to look forward to in this game:

Daniel Sedin needs just one point to climb to #2 all time in franchise scoring behind Hank. He's currently tied with Naslund with 756 points, but sits 3rd by virtue of having less goals than Naslund.
