Dildo Faggins
I wish we still had Ehrhoff. He was awesome, one of the most impactful players the Canucks have had in a long time. He fit in so well and made the PP deadly. The Canucks are really missing an elite puck moving d man like him. We get lots of offensive contributions from the current d core, but its better to have one puck moving specialist d man to focus on that role, so the rest can focus more on defense. Grabner and Hodgson would be great to have back too. .

BI3KSA-
Salo. He is truly the one guy that I never understood why we let him go. Jovo - couldn't afford him with Luongo. Mitchell - questions around his health after his (think it was year long) concussion. Grabner - had to choose between him and Raymond, who had a breakthrough 50pts season Coho - wanted more ice time which we couldn't provide with our line-up Bertuzzi - had to get out of the city because of the media Naslund - same as above Seriously why didn't Gillis offer Salo a decent amount of money? Would be fantastic to still have him. Oh well, what is done is done. Lets look forward to the future (specifically) clinching a playoff spot tonight and have a good winning run this year
BI3KSA-
Gave up so early? He'd been in the system so long he had become waiver eligible. A little knowledge would go a long ways towards understanding why he was moved when he was. Why do people just not get it? Do you know what waiver eligible means??? Apples
We could really use a defensiveman right now. Bring back Mitchell, Salo or Ehrhoff back

blackpluto96
Just love the Hodgson haters. What gracious hockey fans and human beings when you despise one of your own. Gillis disease is more pervasive than expected. I mean who would want a forward with more goals than any Canuck and would be third in points on this roster behind the Sedins? infinitecarnage
Ohlund, Salo, Torres it pains me to see Bieksa in a canuck jersey while these two class act franchise blueliners had to finish their career somewhere else. 2011 playoffs: Ohlund - Hamhuis; would be one hell of a shutdown pairing. supermanbieksa
Ii'd go with Salo just because he and Edler played great together. But if i had to choose any old Canuck and not think about what our real needs are i would take Grabner.

cammy
Woule like to have Salo back. Garrison - Salo These two on the point during a PP would have teams running scared are the sheer power the puck would be fired in. I think most people would have Bure back in his prime, but for for players as they are now i would take Salo.
Clinch16
I think the part that all you loser Coho fanboi's don't get is that the thread asks you to bring back ONE Canuck....yes just one...and you can see a wide and varying range of choices that people put forward. I can think of 50 ex-Canucks who were better hockey players and had a more positive impact on the team. Man-crushes carry no weight in the discussion. Blue & Green
Although Trev, Bure or Bert would be my obvious choices, for this team, Gino. We need his kind of crazy for some of the punks that we're playing. I was at that game, BF. It was really unexpected, as no one really knew he was there. A huge moment for him, I'm sure, as that was all so fresh and many had turned on him. A warm reception that had many (me) in tears. It was the fan appreciation game. Still gives me chills. A-OK, Big Bert.
MoneypuckOverlord
Christian Ehrhoff during the 2011 season, our defence was unable to stay healthy. Bieksa got injured, missed 15 games, Salo missed 20 games, Edler missed 30 games. Hamhius suffered a concusion early in the season and late in the Season, Christian Ehrhoff played around 26 minutes per game, holding the fort for the injury bitten defence core. In the end thanks to him, we still ran away with the Presidents trophy. Sure he's not a heart and soul guy, but he worked very with the team.
