danjr Posted April 23, 2013 Share Posted April 23, 2013 Have none of you ever paid attention to what the 80's Oilers did? Burned themselves out winning the President's trophy. Ousted in the playoffs. Took it easy next season....winner. Two President's trophies and no luck to bring home the biggest prize. Teams analyze these trends and adapt. I am sure they looked over the whole schedule, picked who would play when, and calculated what they would need to secure a good position. Works done, second season is around the corner. Then we will see who comes out to play. I am pretty sure the PP will come alive...pretty sure they don't want to go into the playoffs with a lethal PP and not have refs give them no opportunities like before.
