A win over the Hawks the way they are playing and the way we are decimated by injury would be a massive psychological blow to their confidence.
I will be happy with any win and I suspect 2-1 or 3-2 in OT is as much as we can hope for just now............but please, no SO's.
PS can someone put a rocket up Barker's ass so that at least he appears grateful for the massive opportunity he is being given here. The guy is seriously sending me to sleep half the time.
PPS Are the Hawks not one of the teams on Raymond's asskick list? Let's hope so.
LOL no. Huge overestimation of the effect of a loss. They'll just shrug it off and move on. If this was a 82 game season, they're on pace to finish with single-digit losses. Unreal team and their psyche won't even budge with a loss. Give credit where it's due.
If Higgins is back tonight we'll actually have all our expected forwards back in the lineup & 3 games left for all 4 lines to play together.
Interested to see what the combinations are.
Not that it's a surprise, but Schneider starts.
I like the kid's attitude. Also, given our defensive pairings, it's safe to say Hamhuis and Garrison will play 25+ minutes, and Edler also around that mark. One of two things (or both) must happen for us to win the game tonight.
A - Corrado excels against the best team in the NHL and plays 20+ minutes
B - Schneider steals this game despite defensive lapses by 2nd and 3rd pairings
IF Corrado excels, then that's only one pairing out there that will be questionable, which isn't too bad. IF he doesn't excel but meets expectations (15-16 minutes) then Schneider will seriously have to play lights out to win against the Blackhawks.
