Corrado our saviour on defense

Hope this wasn't just beginners luck. Threw some nice hits and was great at skating back defensively. He is EXACTLY what Edler needs, and you could see how much Edler improved. The only time Edler looked off was on the powerplay when he got walked, and that was the one time of the game he wasn't paired with Corrado. I want this going into the playoffs:

Hamhuis - Bieksa

Edler - Corrado

Garrison - Alberts

Those are 3 big, physical defensive pairings that can all score goals as well. Obviously Corrado and Alberts will get less special team minutes, so our top-4 of Hamhuis/Bieksa/Edler/Garrison should all be munching up around 20-22 minutes a game.

Saviours are for the desperate and downtrodden.

But who doesn't love what he showed tonight?

And MG pulls another coup - another young right hander with top 4 potential - and at the cost of a 5th round pick...

Canucks drafting and scouting.... sucks.

Yeah,Tanev was brought to the Canucks by Gagner and Corrado is the only Glilis pick in five years of draftingnow playing for the team.

Corrado good.

Gillis drafting record -hahhahhahhahhahahhahhahhahhahhaha.

Years of suspect drafting and trading picks, by this regime and the one that preceded it, has left the Canucks without a bankroll of prospects from which to purchase help at the deadline.

I think his play was great. It can probably partially be partially attributed to the fact he has been playing with playoff intensity for the past month or two. Either way, that's not a bad thing because we know he ramps up his game when it counts!!! To have a player playing like this is exactly what this team needs going into the playoffs. They have been very lackadaisical lately and a spark needs to come from somewhere. Might as well be in a slot we desperately need coverage in!!!
