higgyfan
Corrado was solid last night and looks to be a NHL dman. He brings some good depth for our playoff run. Hamhuis Garrison/Bieksa Edler Garrison/Bieksa Alberts Tanev/Corrado Ballard Barker Alberts' physical game gets the nod over Ballard. This is a pretty balanced lineup. Ride the red Pony
Kid looked good, deserves another game, thought the hit he threw in the first kind of set the tone for the game, Nucks seemed to feed off the kids energy.
The Big Luongo
In all my years of watching the Canucks that was the best first game i have seen from a defenseman including veteran acquisitions. Corrado's intelligence, poise, positioning, mobility and confidence was at a very high level and will only get better. Its pretty early to say but this kid looks like a gem. cdubuya
Imagine how fracked we would have been if we didn't make that Ballard trade and Hamhuis decided to sign in Pittsburgh or Philly instead of in Van? What if's are useless and looking back is pointless too.

TheCammer
Looks better than a 5th/6th defense man. Its nice to have a right handed shot. Looked good tonight reminds me of Tanev when he first came up. Would be nice to have him in the playoffs.
Bananas
Very good game for a debut against the top team in the league when everyone is in play-offs mode.
PavelsElbow
Barker was excellent tonight. Corrado is getting a look because the team systems need a RH shot. You should rephrase yr comment: Corrado>>>>>>>>>>Juice/Tanev.
Niloc009
If hammy didnt come here we would have been fine. We had guys who could have stepped up. Looking at the past and analyzing failures is important. This team would be in a lot better shape with a couple different moves. We chastise other GMs for their failures yet fail to hold our own management accountable for major blunders.

Angry Goose
Tanev and Corrado are like mini-Hamhuis to me. Good skaters. Good with the puck. Nice passing ability. If they can develop their offensive ability I definitely see them even more Hamhuis-like.
canacks1970
We would have been fine if Hamhuis didn't come here? Hamhuis is our number 1 D, and has been every year he 's been here. Nobody could "step up" to fill that void. So you think we would have gotten close to the finals with a healthy defence like this? Edler-Salo Ehrhoff-Bieksa Rome-Tanev
Niloc009
Yup considering that Salo only played 36 games that year. Tanev was in his first year as a pro and learning the ropes in the Minors.
rkyway
While I was surprised to see him in the lineup (not V's usual way of doing things) and happy to see how well he played, it's naive to judge a player on the basis of one game. One game, in and of itself, means nothing. - how do scouts make so many bad choices? Making their decisions based on a couple games, or even one. Anyone can look good or bad in a single game. The Big Luongo
After one game it seems Corrado is already ahead of Edler on the defensive game learning curve.
