Please Keep Roy, Higgins and Kelser Together

OK, so going into the playoffs, it looks like

Sedin-Sedin-Kassian (scoring plus protection)

Higgins-Roy-Kesler (Great second line)

Burrows-Lappy-Hansen (great shutdown line)

Raymond-Ebbet-Wiese (decent fourth line, although it could use more size)

Booth could fill in for Raymond, and Burrows and Kassian could switch if necessary.

If we leave Roy with Kesler, I think we need to call up Schroeder to have another solid natural center.

Sedin - Sedin - Burrows

Higgins - Roy- Kesler

Raymond - Lapierre - Hansen

Booth - Schroeder - Kassian

if completely healthy we have a 4 line deep attack.

I'd go

Sedin - Sedin - Burrows

Raymond - Kesler - Kassian

Higgins - Roy - Hansen

Sestito - Lapierre - Pinizotto

for the playoffs.

Next year, I'd love to see

Sedin - Sedin - Kassian

Burrows - Kesler - Hansen

Higgins - Roy - Jensen

as the top 9.

We need to re-sign Roy, though. He has been key to really kicking us into gear.

Best second line in the NHL. With Roy, we now have 4 players hovering around the point-per-game mark. I'd much rather have 4 players scoring at a 70 point pace than 2 players (Malkin and Crosby) scoring at a 100 point pace. Depth wins playoff games.

Sedin - Sedin - Kassian

Higgins - Kesler - Roy

Raymond - Burrows - Hansen

Weise - Lapierre - Sestito

Hamhuis - Bieksa

Edler - Corrado

Garrison - Alberts

That's a very physical, playoff-ready defence.

Look, the issue FOREVER and a day on this team has been lack of NHL calibre centers and now you want to take 2 of them and put them on one line??!!! Seriously??? You want Ebbett playing 4th line center for the playoffs?? He'll get ground up and spit out!!! In the late stages of the game (shortening the bench) or depending on the opponent then yes put them together, otherwise spread out the wealth and use the depth at the position!!!
