stonecoldstevebernier
Chicago Wolves @Chicago_Wolves 4m BREAKING NEWS: #chicagowolves have entered into a three-year agreement with the NHL’s @StLouisBlues! Official Release to follow. No surprise here since we bought Peoria, but its official now. Good luck with that, St. Louis!
Smashian Kassian
No surprise. I'm sure there were more teams interested in Chicago, but this just makes too much sense. St.Louis wants a separately owned team, and St.Louis has some good prospects/players that will help Chicago in there quest for a Calder Cup. Good move for both parts. Ossi Vaananen
Haha, St.Louis can enjoy having their prospects play maybe 20 games, while the Wolves concern themselves with selling tickets.

Everybody Hates Raymond
Cue the Rivermen to Chilliwack. Not much smaller arena, hockey crazy town. Guaranteed sellouts every night. Only slightly smaller than the Langley arena (less than 500 seats under) and far less booked.

Opmac
Why does NHL team want to be affiliated with the Chicago Wolves? It sounds they wouldn't affiliate themselves with another NHL team if AHL rules didn't force them to. What NHL talent has the Wolves produced? None? Canvoucer Vanuck
Sounds like Abby won't be in the cards next year, but I'm looking forward to seeing more prospects in the lineup regardless! From what it sounds, the Wolves would go independent if they could, but that's not how AHL franchises work. Who's going to pay all your player salaries? avelanch
Levin runs his teams to win, when he gets an NHL team he'll do what it takes to ensure they are winnners, of that I am sure. I wonder how fast he'll change the wolves philosophy on winning vs developing once it actually affects his own NHL team's profits/future though. avelanch
If he wants to own a successful NHL franchise he'll have to. You can't buy a championship in this league anymore.
