Beluga Whale
I must've been dreaming because I remember Lu getting 2 shutouts in 5 games in the 2nd round 2011

Plum
do people not realize Schneider probably won't be cheaper on his next contract very soon?
Master Mind
The most interesting scenario IMO would be if Cory was unable to play game 1, but was back by game 2 after a win by Lu. Would cause an actual interesting controversy.
-Vintage Canuck-
I don't mind who starts. Both goalies have been playing decent this year.
Watermelons
Do u look at a contract by just looking at the salary? They 're is NTC, years going through incase he retires.. Seriously. Luongo's is long fat for a pretty old goalie that is at the end.

Plum
It isn't like the Canucks are going to resign Schneider to a "short" contract. It'll most likely end up being 6-7 years and it is highly probable that MG will add an NTC to his contract. I'm pretty sure the poster of the comment you replied to meant that we could be in the same situation with Schneider in the future. With the way the Vancouver media rips goalies after poor performances in a couple playoff games, I think that it is probable that Schneider and Lack will be in the same situation (just that Schneider might have a 6 year contract as opposed to the 10 years left of Luongo's contract)
Just Jimmy
If Luongo was better than Schneider, he wouldn't have lost his starting job and been put on the trading block. He would be the Nucks starter, and there would be no talk of this at all.
MANGO
Both will get an opportunity. But eventually one will have the hotter hand.
CaptainKool
No matter who will start for the playoff, I just want 16 wins. We have two great goaltenders. Just put the one that gives us the greatest chance to win for that game.
Riviera82
Best case: CS started Game One then re-injured. Luongo took the net and ran with it....and WINS THE CUP (like backing up Brodeur and ended up winning Gold as the starter). Let's pray that is going to happen. Clinch16
guys please dont laugh at me but for the last week i have been thinking this. I truly thing the same thing is going to happen to luongo just like what happended to Tim Thomas as u know rask played most of the games and then in the playoffs its going to be thomas. Now i think that now schneider is injured Luongo will play the next two games and in both he will have 40 plus save games with letting in 0 goals in each game. Schneider will come back but since luongo played good he will play the first round and they will win in just 4 games with luongo with a 944 save percents and then the same for the third and the second and they will win the cup. He will also get the conn smythe winner just like Tim Thomas did and then Schneider will get traded in the off season please dont hate on me iam just expressing my feelings. Every since Luongo came to the Canucks ive watched him he was the first player i ever knew he inspired me to be a goalie because every night i would on the tv and watch highlights of luongo making crazy glove saves and commentators saying GREAT SAVE LUONGO or OH WAT STOP. I still watch the time luongo robbed sindey crosby in a shootout. Please dont hate once a luuuuuuu supporter always a luuuu supporter. I hope you understand. BELIVE IN LUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Riviera82
Best case: Cory comes back completely refreshed for game one, doesn't get hurt, goes all the way, doesn't have have a bunch of melt downs and lifts a cup over his head, Luongo get traded in the summer and we doesn't have to put up with this garbage talk anymore

Blackberries
I laughed. I'm a huge Luongo fan, but Schneider will get game 1 and he will start the playoffs if he's ready. It's day-to-day, so Schneider will probably be ready to go for the playoffs. Luongo will have to earn it back and he'll need a little bit of luck - an injury or a struggle from Schneider.
