i think if Kesler played the full year he would be our best player. He is 3rd on our team for points per game.(even though he wasn't playing like himself on his first return) He is our best penalty killer and we all know that kesler comes alive in the playoffs and he is more psychical then both the sedins put together. so go kesler!!!!!
henrik = 45 ÷ 47 = 0.95 points per game
daniel = 40 ÷ 47 = 0.85 points per game
kesler = 13 ÷ 16 = 0.81 points per game

Your calculation is flawed. He hasn't played enough games to make that claim.

Your own stats show the twins are better point per game wise.

Kes looks like he's still trying to get back into the rhythm of things. But I'll gladly cut him some slack as he's recovered (recovering?) from injury.

Right I didn't think about Cory, ok so lets see

Cory
Twins
Garrison
Hammer
Alex (hasn't scored a lot but has been excellent defensively)
Then Ryan?

So 7th best + or -

I do hope he is our best (or one of) player in the playoffs we need it.

Wouldn't say this year because he's been injured pretty much all season.
A healthy season, he is our best all around player.

I think he very well could have been, but he hasn't had enough games to actually estimate.

Never been a big fan of the claim that so and so is the "best" player.
Arguments can be made for more than a handful of guys - Sedins, Burrows, Schneider, Hamhius, Garrison, Hansen, perhaps even that young buck Tanev.
Kesler's numbers are a mixed bag - his underlying numbers are improving although his corsi is still middle of the pack at 15th (rc is-3.3) - he's scored well despite the rust with 13 points in 16 games - his minus 4 is partly indicative of how brutal he was defensively when he first returned and was playing vacant hockey because his bloody foot was broken. His 26 hits and 13 blocked shots are impressive in so few games. He faces very strong, quality competition and he's very good in the faceoff circle. He drives possession and generates territory getting less than 50% offensive zone starts (46.3% starts / 55.4% finishes). Can we just say the Kesler does a lot of things well, is one of the Canucks best players, one of their premier two way players, and leave it at that?
No need to try to understate the Sedins in the process.

Hahahahaha. Just about the only player on the team he's been more valuable than this season is Booth. To me his season starts in the playoffs.

The ironing in that comment is that Booth has probably the best underlying numbers of anyone on the Canucks in his limited play this year.
