Elite goalies also make mistakes. Imagine if the Canucks have to play the blue and that was Luongo. Are there some Quick haters in the Kings' forum?

LA is beatable this year. That Blues 4th line is going to pound the ever-living out of the Queens over the course of this series.

The great thing is that the Blues are beatable too. Can't score to save their lives and a team that's better at puck moving than LA will give them very little to hit.

That Jonathan Quick giveaway was pretty bad. Reminded me of Luongo's tape to tape pass to Joe Thornton in the 2011 playoffs.

I remember that... Horrible.

just shows you.. stop playing the puck if you are bad at it.. momentum blues.. Schneider for us needs to stay away from playing the puck.. he's terrible at it and he let in quite a handful of goals after misplaying the puck directly or indirectly

I hope the Canucks were watching. The Blues showed up READY TO PLAY. There wasn't supposed to be space out there for any offence, but the Blues looked creative and speedy. They were aggressive on every play, with or without the puck. Kings looked a bit surprised. Still starstruck by last years cup. Like they were thinking about a deep run and not the shift right in front of them. A shift that needed to be played LIKE SAVAGES to have a chance at winning just one game.

Skill is skill, it can't be manufactured overnight. The skill the Canucks had yesterday is the skill they will have tomorrow. The Canucks cannot up their skill. (Unless Tanev gets healthy) The Canucks CAN however up their balls-out effort. Every game. Every puck. Every play. Balls out. Relentless. = Best chance to win.

If we take the Sharks or any player or round 1 or playoff hockey or home ice or a nice lead after the first or ANYTHING lightly, we are going to look like the Kings did tonight.

Ahaha, what a way for that game to end.

I'm hoping the Blues come out of this series.

Great game. Blues unlucky to need to go into OT but the better team won on the night imo.

What impressed me most was the obvious chemistry and teamwork by the Blues. I haven't seen us play like that all season, including the Chicago game. Not surprising though considering the injuries and chopping and changing by AV.

We were pretty darn good against Chicago.

"What players need is the right kind of strength and power. That includes learning to understand that leverage and positioning can be just as important as raw strength when it comes to winning battles in the game. It's more about timing and athleticism --and avoiding injury--than it is about how much you can bench press. I don't know how many times I've seen a guy with the physique of a defensive end line up a guy half his size, only to bounce off when he connects. Sure, there is room in the game for big guys who can throw their weight around. But for the most part, players are smart enough to see them coming--and strong enough to protect the puck when they arrive. There are trainers out there who know how to devlop hockey-specific strength--though a trainer can help only if a player follows the program. All too often, I've seen players sign up with the best trainer, but not show up for their workouts and never to reap the benefits."

If we play anything close to how we did in the Chicago game, we should be just fine.

Quick was shaken up a little up near the end of warm-up but he's indeed starting the game nevertheless
