Play a physical game against their defence. They are not exactly "weak" but not as strong as the Canucks

Stuart age 33,

Hannan age 34

Boyle age 36, and all members of their top 4 d core. Keep hitting away at their defence and wear em out good.

Oh yea, Protect Schneider at all costs. He cannot get hurt under any circumstances. Or else we fracked.

Stuart, Hannan, Boyle all have glaring weaknesses. They will break down against faster players and it'll be up to   Hansen, secondary scoring to get them.Vlasic - Braun as shut down will probably be match up to the Sedins. Kesler will probably be tied to Thornton, which could present some problems, especially with the way Burns has played. Depth will be key, and the Canucks are desperately lacking a 3rd line center.

Niemi has made them(their defense) look much better than they are, this year.

Special Teams and Goaltending.

That PowerPlay has to click and i have no doubt in my mind that Schneider and/or Luongo will be beasts.

Players like Hansen Burrows and Higgins will be huge for us. We're going to out work the Sharks.

Ok seriously tho, kesler vs thornton, sedins vs couture, hamhuis and garrison vs thornton, bieksa and edler vs couture, speed and very aggressive, lots of hits, forecheck hard, always pressuring the player with the puck and lots of shots and drive the net for rebounds

The Sharks dominate us in just about every team statistic going in, and owned us in the season series. We should be considered the underdogs for this one.

Keys:

- Find a way to win in San Jose. They're the best home team in the NHL.

- Don't let this get into a special teams battle or we'll get embarassed

- Depth scoring is all we have against these guys

- Shut down their centers. Hank VS Thornton, Kesler VS Couture, Roy VS Pavelski. Gotta win all of those battles

- Expose their shocking defenders. Niemi has been good but their defence is dodgy.

A very tough 1st round opponent. If the Canucks beat these guys they'll go deep.
