Don`t give me all that BS. That`s exactly what the Toronto media are going to say.

If blowing a 3 goal lead in the 3rd period isn`t choking, then there`s no such thing as choking.

I don't care how young they were, that's embarassing for any team.

Did you even read my post? Did I say anywhere in my post that they didn't blow a lead tonight?

I'm talking about the series overall dude.

Btw, you usually have more substance to your posts, but I guess jumping on the anti-Leafs, anti-Eastern media bandwagon is the easiest thing to do when you really have nothing to say.

Yea the series as a whole was a choke job now because of that game.

So what if they were down 3 games to 1. They had the series all but wrapped up. All they needed to do was just protect the lead and they couldn't.

I'm not anti-Leafs in the slightest. I just hate the double standard when people say the Canucks choke, and then say that the Leafs didn't because they're young and inexperienced?

If the media are going to blast the Canucks for their choke job, I wanna see the same thing against the Leafs.

Luongo with goal support would have won game 6.

This was a much weaker version of the Bruins than we faced. Luongo would have made the difference unfortunately for Leafs fans.

or a half decent D core. losing hamhuis, rome, and a injured salo and erhoff did them in.

the truth is, if Rask was playing, nux would prob won. Thomas was unreal.

Conversely you could let the media say what they will about the Leafs and rest easier knowing they're not a playoff team over an 82 game season playing Western Conference teams.

I think this win could have propelled the Leafs into being a cinderella team.

So many similarities to the Hawks-Canucks series a couple years ago.

Long time rivals that the Leafs could just never beat. An OT win after they come back to tie it could have given them so much confidence.

No, I think they'll be sticking with Reimer. Luongo will end up on the Islanders or maybe the Penguins (depending on how they do in round 2).

This is the biggest collapse in hockey I've ever seen.

You obviously haven`t been watching hockey for very long then. Google Boston vs Philly playoffs 2010. That`s the biggest choke.

More of a shot at Nonis for allegedly changing deals with Gillis all day on the trade deadline, sure bit him in the butt.

Can anyone give me an idea when Marchand threw the water bottle? I'll search GCL for it.

Thanks.

The Leafs will stick with Reimer. He was great for his first playoff series.

I don't think it will stop Canucks fans from making fun of the Leafs though.

If Nonis wasn't going to pay up at the deadline, he's never going to.

Right at the start of OT just before the puck was gonna be dropped.

What a proud rich organization they are running in Toronto.
At least they topped those painful memories of Roenick eliminating them in OT the last time they made the playoffs.

I've been saying the same thing over the last few days.

When you look at it now, the East really wouldn't have been that tough. If the Isles had been able to squeak out that series it would have been a virtual cakewalk.

I actually wanted to Leafs to lose when I began watching this game but after being reminded of what a bunch of rats Marchand and the Bruins are, I was really disappointed the Leafs couldn't hold on to their lead.

Yep, should be. There's also a rule that If the crowd throws crap on the ice, the home team is penalized.

The reffing was sort of hilarious. JVR gets an elbow right in front of the ref and starts bleeding. No penalty. Marchand trips on the faceoff dot and the Leafs get a penalty.

Exactly what I said. The calls look all even until one team is behind.

Then the refs put away the whistles.

The Bruins have the system figured out. If you take enough penalties early on, you're free to do anything later in the game. And you will almost certainly get a powerplay if you're down by a couple.
