As per News1130 on Twitter. On mobile, can't post the tweet. Not surprised considering he had a monster playoffs in junior

Is he actually going to play or are we calling him up just in case of injury?

They have been calling up guys around playoffs so they can be with the team and experience the playoffs. Could be for playing time too.

Probably just getting some experience at the pro level watching and hanging with the team. Nothing new about that in the playoffs.

Like others of said, he is likely getting called up just be around the team during playoffs and possibly in case they need a last minute injury replacement.

Be surprised if he plays barring any injuries. About the only guy he's bumping as has been pointed out is Ebbett and even that's a long shot. The kid would have to dominate (at this level) and/or Ebbett poop the bed entirely for AV to put zero NHL experience in over Ebbett's experience and (albeit limited) skillset.

Yeah, let's jump at throwing a teenager into the NHL playoffs.
With all that pro experience he should be fine.

Pretty sure we're doing it with Corrado anyway. I don't think it's likely that he'll slot in, though it's certainly a possibility if he shows he can compete at this level.

For the knowledgeable crowd, as I understand it, we've called up Archibald, Lack and Jensen so far from the Wolves. Is there anyone else that we've brought up, maybe an extra D or C?

Nice. He's made great strides this season in junior. I don't think he'll play barring injury, but it will be good to have him around the team seeing as he is part of the future.

Corrado is a year older with both AHL and NHL experience.
There are no right handed d men so Corrado ,now tested, will get a chance.
Gaunce has no pro experience and has not been in any way tested.
Why would the Canucks risk injuring him when there are veteran center options?

He can play in the NHL this season. But starting out in the playoffs without any pro. experience might be pushing it.

Maybe taking spot on fourth line centre
Jensen gaunce kassian

That could be a really fun line to watch, and entirely possible next year coming out of camp, but perhaps the playoffs isn't the time to put a player strugggling to be consistent with 2 guys who have 2 nhl games between them.

That being said, with some injuries, I'd probably rather this line then say a Sestito - Ebbett - Pinizotto.

Players Nikolaj Ehlers have been compared too by the fan base of the Vancouver Canucks.

1 Pavel Bure

2 Markus Naslund

3 Nathan Mackkinon

4 Jonathan Drouin.

5 Jonathan Tavares

combine results.  Ehlers 5'11 162 lbs of solid rock.

As he hasn't played Center for a long time I'm curious if they will slot him in there or on the wing.
