An email to Canucks staff and corporate partners offering half-price Stanley Cup playoff tickets has been leaked, and CTV News has the details.

The ticket deal is only accessible using a designated web link and password that were sent to Orca Bay employees along with a message encouraging them to spread the love.

“Distribute the code as well if you know of any die-hard Canucks fans,” the email reads.
The discount only applies to lower-bowl seats for the first two home games against the San Jose Sharks, decreasing some of the regularly $300 tickets to as low as $130.
They are available here for Game 1 and Game 2 using the password “ROUND1STAFF.”

The 50 per cent off deal is yet another sign of sluggish ticket sales for the Canucks’ first playoff round. Large sections of Rogers Arena remained available on the Ticketmaster website Tuesday afternoon, and some sellers have started offering tickets below cost due to lack of interest.

Last week it was revealed that Canucks playoff tickets were the most expensive of any Canadian team, with prices surging up to $450 for a single lower-bowl ticket.

$450 for a lower bowl ticket?

aren't tickets in the grey seats at Leaf games more expensive than that in the regular season?

No. They are around 300. I've bought tickets before for these seats.

Wow, just bought 2 upper bowl tickets for a little bit more than it would have cost for lower bowl...

Why can't they just lower the prices of these tickets if they actually want to sell out..
  • 0

One or both the Sedins will demand a trade at the end of the year. You can quote me on that.

No kidding. The fact there are still lots of seats available 30 minutes after "the leak" speaks volumes. Scalpers are having a hard time even giving them away at this point.

Uh-oh!

You’ve left one seat stranded at the end of a row or stuck between selected seats. Please leave at least two empty seats together.

GREEDY ******!

Platinum all the way to Red counts as lower bowl. When I went, it was a long time ago vs. Flyers and another vs. Panthers. (Richards was still a Flyer), (Either both were red, or one was red and one was gold).

Either way, I usually stick to upper bowl now. I actually prefer the view, and the seats we usually get are $100 (we buy of Kijiji because tickets are impossible to get).

You don't understand how thankful I am right now

I have only been to one game in my life - that was two years ago against the Colorado Avalanche around my birthday

I have never been able to pool together the $200 to get a ticket to a game but when you shared this I saw lower bowl tickets going for $130. Obviously, I picked it up and I am extremely thankful for being able to go to my second ever game for such a cheap price

I am very passionate about my Canucks and I will make sure I cheer as loud as I can and to cherish my oppurtunity to go to a PLAYOFF GAME for such a cheap price with my buddy, and to show as much enthusiasm as I can in my rare appearences at a Canucks game.

Thank you, luongo.is.god for posting this article! I will never forget this playoff experience and knowing the prices, this might be my last game in awhile!

Thank you.

I'm going for two seats at the pub down the street. Bringing a 50$ bill, my phone and nothing else, gonna be a wobbly wobbly stumble home. Great deal.

You're very welcome. A link to this article popped up on my twitter feed and seeing as how I'm overseas right now I thought I'd share it with all of you. I realize how many true nucks fans here are priced out of the playoffs so I thought I'd give you guys the opportunity first. Cheer loud and proud man, have a great time!

exactly. I'm still having a hard time justifying the tickets at half off, it's tempting though. It's Black Sabbath or Canucks game right now. However if Ozzy doesn't show up, I'll get my money back. If the Canucks don't show up, Ill just leave angry and feeling ripped off.

Wow...... there are tons of seats available. I'm surprised.. I thought that they'd sell out like they usually do every year. Just goes to show the toll that uninspired play has on fans.

Amazing that upper bowl tickets during the regular season can get you lower bowl play-off tickets now... Wow they are desperate.
