And I've been texting with my teammates and coworkers all evening, and they don't care either. The Canucks have taken some of the most passionate and vocal and caring fans they had and made us all indifferent. As VoiceOfReason showed, this team has 13 goals in their last 19 playoff games. kirkmclean1994 Posted May 2, 2013 Share Posted May 2, 2013 As mentioned by Shorthouse in his post-game comments, what have the Canucks done this season or last (post Boston win) to show us that they are capable of coming back and dominating ANY team in these playoffs? They may play well on Friday and win, but as seen all season, they play one good game, then play poorly and lose to a team like Colorado. This team needs changes. For a bunch of guys who talked about knowing "the window" was closing. Lu seemed to be the only one of the core who took his game up a notch. Honky Cat Posted May 2, 2013 Share Posted May 2, 2013 We lost because -we only really played playoff hockey for a good 20 minutes -Sedins and Kesler were ineffective (btw,if keslers injured,we're done) It was nothing to do with goaltending or reffing,or Kassian and Ebbett.If you're top players are not you're top players in the playoffs, you lose...Give credit where it's due.Couture had a helluva game,and the Sharks played a consistent smart game....Hopefully we will reveal the Sharks for who they really are next game. It's just a continuation of the way they played in the playoffs last year, and the way they've played pretty well all season this year. There is no magic elixir. Summary: Our top players disappear...again, our defence can't clear the front of the net, and we get out-played on home ice in game 1 of the playoffs for two of three periods.
