[Official] 2013 NHL Entry Draft Thread

Recommended Posts

The remaining order is determined by the Stanley Cup playoff results.[8] Whichever team wins the Stanley Cup is awarded the 30th and last pick, while the runner-up is given the 29th pick. The teams eliminated in the conference finals are awarded the 28th and 27th picks, with the 28th pick going to the team with the better regular season record. Remaining division winners are then sorted by points, then the rest of the field are ranked next, filling in the 26th through 15th picks. In both cases, better records result in later picks.

I searched TSN but couldn't find, is there a list of rankings for draftees? Canucks are drafting at the very least 19th over all according to Prison Bull - I'd like to see who 'might' be available then.

Given Gillis's history, he's always taken a forward in the 1st round. I'm assuming he'll do the same this summer.

Domi-Harvat is an amazing combination. Their performance at the memorial cup was outstanding, Domi's sick pass and Harvat's finish is exactly what we need. Looking at our future with them, (Hank,Dank at the end of their career).

1-3 years gone by:

Burrows-Kesler-Jensen

Horvat-Domi-Kassian

Sedin-Sedin-Gaunce

Higgins-Lain-Hansen

Hamhuis-Corrado

Andersson-Tanev

Garrison-Bieksa

Lack/Schneider

Lack/Schneider.

Trading Edler for one of the top 10 picks (draft Horvat).

Ballard,1st round pick (VAN) 2013,3rd round pick 2013 for 1st round pick (CBJ) 2013.

Could add some more things, but I could see us running for the cup again.

I'm hoping the Flames don't use that 6th overall to select a euro player, I don't want the team going all euro and soft. Either grab a big solid Dman or trade down for prospects and take Shinkaruk, or try to trade up for an elite three.
