RDA96
Tired of those Kesler's injury or sickness. Always something with him. All these years, Kesler's had one great series against Nashville, otherwise never really been a factor. I say package him (with Bieksa) for Weber and we gives 2nd line duties to Roy (re-sign 5M). poetica
Didn't any of us without tinfoil hats know Schneider had a groin strain? It is a goalie's Achilles heel after all. But seriously, Kes has the flu and played as well as he did? Ok, it wasn't up to his normal high standards but can we all just take a minute to remember the last time we had the flu...the whining, the sleeping, the couch laying, the exhaustion from walking all the way to the bathroom in your 1-bedroom apartment? I hope he's feeling better and able to put all that energy into the next game!
wallstreetamigo
If the Canucks lose and we hear "oh boo hoo Kesler had a bum shoulder and tried his best" - like every other year - and the coaching staff and some of these core players escape unscathed again, there is something definitely wrong. You should really only be able to use the same excuses a limited number of times before someone calls bull. Having the flu he can't control but that is why having center depth would have helped. He played 21 minutes because of that lack of depth and because AV cannot help himself at all to limit Kesler's minutes when he is not 100%. canuckfan85
and by flu, Kesler means he has a lower body injury and by lower body injury, he means his right hip labrum is torn and will require surgery and he will miss substantial time next season
Neversummer
Doesn't matter ... it is up to coach and team to make adjustments. Somebody has to step up in times like these. No one uses injuries and colds as excuses ... no one.
