Nashi
Hopefully he gets a few shutouts in this series to help us win, seeing as we are having trouble solving Niemi the Sharks should have trouble solving Luongo.
hudson bay rules
5.33 million dollar goalie. How about the 65 million dollar team infront of him scoring some damn goals.
LifetimeFan
Luongo was not the problem last night, and he was not the problem last year vs. LA. It should be obvious by now to anyone who has watched the games. They need more shots, period. Shoot more, hope for bounces and maybe some quality scoring chances will happen. Everyone seems to have a death grip on their sticks and are looking to make a pass before shooting.
poetica
Is Schneids out because he is the one being traded this summer? It's wierd that Cory says he's fit yet isn't even the backup.....
rkoshack
a 10 million dollar goalie should be able to steal a few games.

Quoted
He was average and everyone in the world would think that we have an improvement in the wings waiting to get healthy.
rkoshack
deny that he's ever been paid 10 million ? wait, a 7 million dollar paycheck means he can play "average" NP.
DisplacedBCfan
Which goalie is net is irrelevant, our forwards are the ones lettings us down again. As per norm.
Toni Zamboni
our defense sux, our play in our own end is bad....our passing and puck movement has been scrambly.
ChuckNORRIS4Cup
I am a Luongo supporter always have been always will be, but really sick and tired of our GM Mike Gillis who just lies through his teeth every year to our faces. Last week Gillis was quoted on this, if this was a playoff game Cory would be playing, seriously Gillis don't even talk anymore because you lie through your teeth all the time. Just like trading Cody for Kassian who you said was a good trade because Kassian was going to help us for our cup run? What? I think you've been in B.C. to long the smoke fumes are really getting to your head.
etsen3
I could care less who starts. It's nice to have a superstar backup goalie. Wish we had some superstar backup forwards as well.
The Situation
Fun fact: the Sedins have a higher cap hit than Luongo but they get a free pass right? They shouldn't be relied on to "steal" games
Airjasper
Goaltening won't be the problem in this series. It's the scoring. I'm happy for Luongo to get this chance, although disappointed for Schneider that he isn't playing. Something is fishy about this whole Schneider situation. He said he was good to go and now he isn't even dressing as a back up.
Heretic
He's being paid $6,714,000. He stole games in the Boston series, in which we scored a staggering 8 goals. 30+ million dollar forwards should do something.

Heretic
At least Torres felt sorry for his old buddies and gave them a free one! Seriously though, how many quality scoring chances were there really? 2, 3,?
Quoted
Actually, we hit 2 posts and the crossbar twice...and one just flipped over and bounced off the top of the net... The real question is - how many chances did we squander? Daniel blew a 1 timer not once but twice....
