NBC Hockey Drinking Game

17 posts in this topic

Okay folks, it goes like this:

1) When a broadcaster mentions the college/university that a player attended- take one big chug.

2) When Pierre McGuire mentions the college/university that a player attended-take two big chugs.

3) When a broadcaster mentions the American town or the state that a player comes from-take three big chugs.

4) When the colour commentator utters the phrase "I'll tell you what"-down the whole bottle/glass/can.

5) When the colour commentator refers to a dressing room as a "locker room"-down the whole beverage.

Are we enjoying our little slice of hockey Americana yet?!

Ladies and gentlemen-start your engines!!!

I'll personally down a whole can when it's Gord Miller that says any of this stuff. You can tell he's still gettin' his feet wet in the American hockey broadcasting game because he rarely says any of this stuff yet.

But he'll learn.

personally my favourite NBC call from tonight was: "ryan went unmolested to the net and fired it in the slot" really was wondering which slot they were talking about hard to tell.

If ya take a big swig of water every time one of them says "offsides" rather than offside you'll be fine.

Does Pierre still refer to players as "tough hombres"?

That line had my friends and I completely messed up during World Juniors one year lol
