Merci
I wish we spent the 10 million on players not playing in the NHL on the players all playing on other teams succeeding in the playoffs. Edit: CDC could be a better GM than Gillis
Watermelon
Two of them were injured, one if them needs a cane when he walks and Torres.....that was stupid to let him go.

The Magician
Torres was my favourite player because he was exciting when ever he got on the ice. He scores a game winning 1-0 goal in the SCF and Gillis won't give him a bit of a raise?
cyacry
Booth is too injury prone. Not his fault but....Raymond, didn't really noticed him in the last 2 games. Ballard, hope Tanev can come back soon.

DownUndaCanuck
Samuelsson and Mitchell are old and well past their prime - Booth and Raymond are still young and give us offensive production for a few more years to come. Obviously Ballard was a mistake in hindsight, and Booth is injured so nothing MG can do about that. However the Torres and Bitz walks were stupid moves by MG. These guys brought size and toughness to our lineup that we really lack right now. He could have had them both for under 2 mil, which is essentially the money we freed up by putting Malhotra on IR. Sedin - Sedin - Kassian Burrows - Kesler - Higgins Hansen - Roy - Raymond Torres - Lapierre - Bitz That's a lineup with speed, physicality and the ability to score from top to bottom. a Fool
Mitchell: injured. Salo: out of playoff. Samuelsson: has played 5 games this year. 1 playoff game; 2 shots, 2pims, 11min TOI, and -1. Torres was a mistake. I'll give you that. Otherwise: Booth: injured. Ballard: out b/c of AV. Raymond: playing okay. Not as bad as everyone wants to think. JE14
You only name the bad things Gillis did. Garrison? Roy? Signing players for cheaper than market value?

Smashian Kassian
Its really an unfair comparison since its 4 against 3. But if you consider Booth a mistake then Sammuelsson and Mitchell, aswell Salo all would have been mistakes to hold onto aswell since they are all injured too and injuries are the only reason Booth is looked at in a negative light. Otherwise he has been perfectly fine in his time here.

Newsflash
I thought you said the Canucks are better than ever. We were all wrong for complaining during the regular season. You are such a flip flopper.

BuretoMogilny
Torres was a terrible mistake said it at the time Raymond over Grabner also and mistake said it at the time - Grabner has much better chemistry with Kesler, probably one of the few players that did. Laugh- but Tanner Glass, another mistake, solid 4th liner Not addressing an expected loss of Manny in the offseason. MG said he expected it but did nothing? Ok smart move Trading Coho - not a mistake, but not filling the hole at center was a mistake. I like Kassian and he will turn out fine. But we needed a center in the summer (2 really, a 2nd liner to fill in for Kes and a 3rd to take Manny's role) = mistake. Not to mention the TIMING of the trade, he could have been told to suck it up and be moved at the draft. Not trading Lou - mistake (ya makes him look good now, but look at the holes). Booth and Ballard - mistakes Lou contract = mistake
