Of those 17 wins, the Canucks managed to score 3 or more goals in 11. Cory only won 6 games when the Canucks scored 2 or fewer goals. Similarly, Luo played in 20 games (18 starts) and won 9 games. Of those 9 wins, the Canucks scored 3 or more goals in 5 games. It's nothing more than wishful thinking, people. Cory's not a god and will not save us from a lack of point production! Im sure if luongo played the same way he did and if he was playing on the sharks team he woulda shut the canucks out in the first 2 games.. sure we have shots on him.. but does anyone remember when and if niemi was ever really tested?? In 2008 Hasek played 4 games, won only 2, allowed 10 goals and had a playoff SV% of .888 and his team still won the Cup. See what scoring can do? Have you bothered to read anything I've written? My entire point is that neither Cory nor Luo is a god. Both give us a chance to win most games, but only if we score. Scoring is how teams win!!
