Vancouver's comeback Posted May 6, 2013 Share Posted May 6, 2013 Of course not. Schneider got thrown to the wolves by AV. Normally I'd be 100% behind starting Schneider. But when word got out that he still looked ill, and was 10 pounds lighter the decision looked very suspect. Putting him in after 13 days without playing was questionable as well. 6string Posted May 6, 2013 Share Posted May 6, 2013 mike gillis is responsible for this....first the ridiculous luongo contract many of us shook our heads at when it was done, the captiancy nonsense now this soap opera of figuring out what to do... gillis failed to make a luongo deal and the locker room had this monkey hanging over them the entire lock out shortened season where the canucks never looked like a team with direction masked by a weak division that fooled the die hards that we were good enough to compete with the best tandem ( goaltending ) in the league. gillis may fire the coach but he is most responsible for adding nothing to what he inherited ( tanev and corrado the exceptions ) which was a top 5 club in the league! From Torres scoring the winning goal to Schneider crumbling after being unreasonably put in after missing 13 games. Luongo is a coach's wet dream in net. Schneider is a nobody and is already 27 years old and just starting as a number one if one can call him that. Honeymoon's over.
