We might win the game on Tuesday. Then we'll sh*t the bed in front of our home ice fans and everyone will riot

Great pessimism but that isn't going to happen either. The Sharks have never swept anyone.

there's a first time for everything...

As we've been saying, AV wants to get himself fired earlier and go to Dallas to play golf with Rome.

The Sharks blew a 3-0 lead in a series not long ago, only to win it in 7.

In a shortened season where records have fallen, it's very do-able, but doubtful. Would take a miracle to win 1 game right now let alone 4.

Yeah look, until today I thought they could do it but they got creamed. They don't have it in them. The only team that's ever come back 0-3 to win it were the Flyers in 2010.

The Flyers were way stronger than these Canucks, and their opponent, the Bruins were missing their top goalscorer (Sturm) and their points leader (David Krejci). Additionally, they had an injured Marc Savard who was clearly not 100%, and Tuukka Rask in net, who was not exactly ready for the playoffs yet.

So basically, it's not going to happen. SJ is too strong.

Apparently not a first time for the Canucks to reverse sweep if you listen to people around here. Sharks will probably win the series but they won't be taking the next game.

Its all about taking it one game at a time. Win next game, then we have a chance to take one at home and force a game 6. Suddenly, just one more then a game 7 in upon us.

It looks like a big deficit if you say well yeah we have to win 4/4 (which we do of course), but it can happen pretty quickly if you take it one at a time.

In our now six meetings with the sharks we have lost SIX times and only lead one time, not even for a full period. Yeah 4/4 is not a big deal or anything. wake up.

I want Luongo to come out to the media and pull a Captain Serious and call out the sharks for being a fraud and then carry the team to game 7 like Toews did in 2011 :D at least it would be fun

Those of you who "Believe"...do any of you work in Human Resources?

Give it up. This group is weak. Both physically and mentally.

For all doubting us, even if it's "reality", why don't you show the least bit of optimism? Lol, might as well go cheer for another team. I don't get how you can't atleast cheer for them ..

The Canucks have the Sharts exactly where they want them.

First had to lull them into a false sense of security....now they will pounce like an angry beaver and unleash the gates of hell.

The Canucks will need divine intervention and/or a gypsy curse to win one game, never mind four.

I've been a fan of the Canucks since the 1970s. Optimism is hard to come by when the team has let the fans down so many times over the years.

Yet we made it to the finals in 2011. Was a disappointing finish but you have to appreciate the fact how close they made it. This team is not much different from the core of 2011. Yeah, couple guys like Ehrhoff, Torres, Malhotra gone, but most are still here. And if anyone to blame, it's gotta be MG

There is being optimistic and then there is reality. Hope for the best but prepare for the worse. There is always a first that they pull it off and there is the reality that the sharks sweep.

Here is some optimism for you... we get knocked out, canucks gear at the store will probably go on clearance for cheap. Yeeeea!!!

Usually I'd agree, but this team is gritty. They don't look like the Sharks of yore to me.

That's not grit. That's a knowledge that the rulebook doesn't apply to you.

Pittsburgh's won a Cup too recently. Look for one of the Canadian teams or the Caps to represent the East.

Just remember the Flyers of 2010 against Bruins. They go down 3-0 in the series, and fight back in game 4 to win it in OT! Then they win game 5 and 6 by 1 goal... and even in game 7, Bruins take a 3-0 lead, but again flyers fight back to win it 4-3... at game 7 and the series!

COMMON BOYS....YOU CAN DO IT!!

Having realistic concerns doesn't mean we should "cheer for another team". I have loved this team for the last 20 years and will always love this team, but being a true fan doesn't mean being a naive, twelve year old, pom pom-waver. The fact is that only three teams have ever come back from being down 3-0, and we simply don't have the heart to pull that off. That's the difference between realism and pessimism.

Yeah ok, keep blaming the refs. The game wasn't even close. I'm not even talking about today though, where the Canucks got frustrated and committed stupid roughing penalties. In the series as a whole, the Sharks have shown they have determination and a strong personality. All their lines are clicking, they came back with their goalie pulled to win it, and they're scoring momentum goals. 9 seconds after scoring a goal, they're done thinking about it, they just crash the net and do it again. Grit.
