Canuck fan in Calgary
..get in a fight with their wife/girlfriend because they were so pissy after the game(s) this weekend? I did. Is it too much to ask wives/girlfriends to follow the Canucks playoffs, and decrease their expectations of us after a loss? Seriously...all the info you need is online. Download the calendar to your iphone, set up text alerts...and be there for us when we emotionally unravel after a playoff loss. ex: text alert! Canucks blow a 2-1 lead in the final minute, Sharts come back to take a 2-0 series lead. action: bring your boyfriend/husband a stiff drink. Curse the refs/opponents; otherwise say nothing until stewing has ceased.

Canuck fan in Calgary
yep...women ask us to be more sensitive at certain predictable times. If you date/marry a Canucks fan, please return the favor.
Merci
My parents got divorced over the 94 cup run. You wish you were as big a fan as me and my dad.

Odjickwillkillyou
Anyone who places something as trivial as a sport before their spouse needs to re-think their marital priorities. I love this team and all of my other teams, but I did not vow to love them through sickness and health, for better or worse when we got married. Does it suck that we are down 3-0? Yup. Is it that big of a deal or does it pay my bills? Nope.
Riviera82
My wife is really good luckily, she's a big fan too but not quite as fanatical as I am. Needless to say we dont fight about hockey games.
Vansicle
Not a fight, but she barked at me for trying to turn the game off after it was out of reach. "I want to watch the rest of the game" she says. "What game?" I said.
GrooveC
They say domestic violence spikes (in the States) during the superbowl and I'm sure, unfortunately, the same is true for the Canuck Nation. Witnessed a pal blow up on his girl last night after Cory let the 5th in.... Baaaad time to come a' nagg'n

TOMapleLaughs
No. Post-lockout banning of viewership of this Nhl season except for your rare cbc game made me apathetic towards this teams' performance. My wife's like, 'They're going out in 4 straight' and the most that will get from me is a snicker. Don't get me wrong, this team losing still ticks me off. Just not nearly as much as before. 'Caaaanuuuuuuuucks suuuuuuuuuuck' has been downgraded to annoying background noise, while other teams' games have been boring afterthoughts. I'll still follow the Canucks, but the league is starting to lose me as a fan. There's just too many other things i could be doing. When the Canucks are out, i doubt i'll watch anything else in the playoffs. Don't care. And i used to be such a religious fan of all Nhl hockey, whether the Canucks were good or not.
