Is it too much to ask wives/girlfriends to follow the Canucks playoffs, and decrease their expectations of us after a loss? Seriously...all the info you need is online. Download the calendar to your iphone, set up text alerts...and be there for us when we emotionally unravel after a playoff loss.
text alert! Canucks blow a 2-1 lead in the final minute, Sharts come back to take a 2-0 series lead.
action: bring your boyfriend/husband a stiff drink. Curse the refs/opponents; otherwise say nothing until stewing has ceased.

The NHL is a fixed old boys club. I've come to acceptance with that and just watch for entertainment. The 2011 & 2012 Canucks are champs in my books.
THE CANUCKS ARE THE SINGLE, GREATEST SPORTS FRANCHISE OF ALL TIME. GO CANUCKS GO

"Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens & the earth were joined together as one united piece, then We (Allah) parted them? And We have made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?" (Qur'an 21:30)

"Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure--one world, if you will. If that's the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.” (David Rockefeller)

Miller is not on our list. It's Lack as our #1. There is no reason we would have traded both Schnieder and Luongo if we never intended to give Lack the #1 starting job. Furthermore, the salary and term Miller is looking for is not in our favor.

My wife's like, 'They're going out in 4 straight' and the most that will get from me is a snicker.
Don't get me wrong, this team losing still ticks me off. Just not nearly as much as before. 'Caaaanuuuuuuuucks suuuuuuuuuuck' has been downgraded to annoying background noise, while other teams' games have been boring afterthoughts.
I'll still follow the Canucks, but the league is starting to lose me as a fan. There's just too many other things i could be doing. When the Canucks are out, i doubt i'll watch anything else in the playoffs. Don't care. And i used to be such a religious fan of all Nhl hockey, whether the Canucks were good or not.

All's i'm saying is never forget what's really important in your life, winning teams come and go but family and good friends are forever.

That's all it is. You have absolutely no influence over the outcome of the game as an individual unless you are one of the 16 people on the ice at any one time.
So people getting overly worked up about how well someone else is doing or did is really, really silly when you think about it.
