Kelly Sutherland explanation for call on Daniel Sedin

What a bull call. Little Tommy Wingels had all the time in the world to brace for a hit knowing full well Daniel was coming in on him and he got hit clean shoulder on shoulder and skyrocketed into the boards from further than a couple feet away. Sutherland is a complete joke.

Kelly Sutherland is also the referee that gave Dan sedin a 10 minute unsportsmanlike penalty in the stanley cup finals against boston after dan sedin was repeatedly punched in the face by brad marchand.

Dan Sedin asked him something similar to when are you going to call the penalty? after the fifth punch? (something like that)

He is also the one that gave av the unsportsmanlike call in that calgary game earlier this season.

Kelly Sutherland is biased against the Canucks. He should be thrown out of the league.

Could have gone either way but the Canucks are never beneficiaries on a 50/50 call.

Sucks because the Sedins need to be more physical and now I am sure Daniel...and probably Henrik too...will never throw a hit again.

It's not why we lost. We sucked in this series and we deserved to lose. But we deserved a fighting chance.

Wingels went flying because he assumed Sedin wouldnt hit him

Sedins never hit so players generally go to retrieve the puck without protecting themselves.

I say the Sedins need to do this during reg season as well. They will be surprised after a few of these hits, they will actually get to the puck first sometimes because players will brace themselves for the hit instead of just skating to the puck.
