Kelly Sutherland reffed the Boston series as well.

He's the most corrupt referee in the NHL imo.

The ref who was right there wasn't going to make the call. I bet Sutherland reacted after the crowd began to lose their sh*t. Terrible call.

Sucks because the Sedins need to be more physical and now I am sure Daniel...and probably Henrik too...will never throw a hit again.

Exactly what we need. The Sedins not throwing hits in the future. One of Daniel's biggest hits of his career turns on him. Just our luck... <_<

Well, was he in a defenseless position? I thought so. I was more disgruntled with the Schneider rebound tbh.

Anyone wanna bet he refs us next playoffs?

It's not a coincidence. The league knows which refs it wants in each series.

In other words: "Looks like a clean hit, oh wait, Bettman paid me to make sure the Sharks win. I better call a boarding penalty. Oh I'll add in a game misconduct too."

Kevin Kyro@KevinKyro 3m

HOLY crap. The last 19/20 games Kelly Sutherland has called vs Vancouver, the opposing team has had more PP's

Jason Botchford@botchford 32m

@TheStanchion It was sutherland who broke up Sedin vs Marchand. You can relive it here >

As I've been saying for 2 years now, there are specific referees in the NHL who won't call in favor of the Canucks. The opposing team always gets more PP time than Canucks. Sutherland is one of the many. Gillis needs to work this out with the NHL. If they do nothing, he needs to book a press conference and spew out the numbers. Cause the numbers don't lie.

He made sure to give him a game misconduct too so it hurt our chances of winning in overtime if we killed the penalty. He knew exactly what he was doing.

The referees in this league are a joke. Not only this series.

How can Matt Duchene be 3 feet offside with 2 linesmen looking right at him then go in and score the winning goal on that play? Were those officials ever disciplined? Anymore job training for them? Because they clearly can't do the job.

Do I even need to get into the Department of Player Safety and the spinning wheel Shanny uses to determine suspensions. Look up the Rick Nash review. He leaves his feet to deliver a flying elbow to an opponent's head and it's deemed OK.

The NFL realized they had a major problem with the replacement refs and that they were harming the on field product. After the Seattle/Green Bay Monday night game they moved to immediately correct it.

What does the NHL do when the regular officials make these clowns look good?

The NHL is a fixed old boys club. I've come to acceptance with that and just watch for entertainment. The 2011 & 2012 Canucks are champs in my books. Go Canucks Go!

The misconduct was given after Daniel had a word with him after the OT goal. It was just salt in the wound.

Sutherland is a joke. He is using his position for his own private revenge aganist the Canucks. NHL should start an investigation.

You know they will never do that under Bettman. All the NHL wants is money and to expand to southern markets while in the process screwing the markets that have been loyal and selling out year after year.

I found the call borderline AT BEST, but for what it's worth, Kerry Fraser on TSN tonight saying it was the right call.

Just another ref protecting his own kind. Hey, maybe he should team up with Ron McLean and air another 30 minute hit piece on how the Canucks are the dirty divers lol

That was a penalty.

It wasn't boarding though, more so interference.

Wingles and Daniel were both going after the puck in the corner and Daniel shoved him away.

It's a physical battle for the puck. Not interference.
