AllEyezOnMe
Lapps is the only good thing we've got going for the fourth line
UFCanuck
Unfortunately if the Canucks can ever hope to rebuild their hated reputations in particular with the leagues officials Lappy, Burr and Probably Kesler all have to go, they will never be given a fair shake here. BedBeats™2.0
After his role is assessed...they will have a tough choice to make. For those that are pissed about him being neutered; i hope yous know it had to be done, or attempted for favourable calls. Yet i do agree with one user that said that the tactic of trying to reform the rep might be lost on newer officials that would unjustly feel that its a pandering act. Which is absolute BS. Torres and Cooke-Sid publicly stating they changed their game and their teams getting fairer shakes at calls should be working for the Canucks or other teams shaking negative reps. Personally, id like him to stay. He fills a need, and he could slot into the 3rd line pivot role.
Samuel Påhlsson
I'll take the 2011-12 Lapierre not the one that's showing up now.
Moonshinefe
I can't see the Canucks getting a better 4th line centerman...

nuckles88
The boys love Lappy he fits in just fine. Ya im sure they get on him a bit but that happens to everyone. AV just has to let Lappy play his game so he can be more effective, imo hes an excellent 4th line centre and definitely wasnt the problem with the team this season. Hopefully they re-sign him and worry about replacing other guys.
zombieksa
He needs to be put back in an energy line role. The loss of Malhotra shoved him into a role he wasn't suited to play. Yes he can play PK, and yes he can play defensively, but he is better used being a pain in the arse guy who comes out flying, not worrying about chipping the puck out of his end constantly. Bringing in a guy like Gordon for the 3rd could spark Lappy's play on the 4th with less responsibility holding him back.
bossram
Lapierre is a solid 4th line player. We should keep him. Just don't expect him to be much more.

TOMapleLaughs
Complain or don't complain. Won't change the fact the playoffs are rigged.
Your New Coach Mr. Tippett
There is something to be said for lobbying your opinion from time to time. And bitching and moaning about every call that doesn't go your team's way. The Canucks are completely lost on how to accomplish this. I blame the leadership. Meanwhile, I found a pic of Max and Burr in offseason training;
Canuck or Die
I'm sick of the team trying to be likable to others. Screw everyone else! It should be about the Canucks and the fans. Everyone else doesn't like it? They can suck it for all I care.
tas
the fact is in today's nhl you can't afford to have a fourth line that merely isn't a liability. it either needs to generate offensive opportunities or grind down opponents with physicality, intimidation and sustained offensive zone pressure. a fourth line built around max will do neither. Your New Coach Mr. Tippett
a fourth line built around Max with two non-NHL'ers will do neither.
tas
the center is the most important part of the line. max is adequate at face offs (far from outstanding), but that's where his talents end. e hits a fair amount, but the hits don't make an impact. he's offensively useless.
