Tony G RIPS The Sedins, Coaches & Canucks Country Club

I agree but I think the Country Club atmosphere is half the fault of GIllis as well

Higgins 4 year deal, barely has a position to play Gillis but don't go worrying about what's best for the team Higgins deserves it.

^ Same with Burrows contract as much as we all love him

Signs Edler to an insane deal that completely handicaps the team moving forward

Edler is above criticism or coaching from the coach and MG is too much of a puXXy to move him

Bieksa is untouchable both by GM and coach

Can't split up the Sedins and expect them both just to play hockey and be $6.1 million players on different lines on an offensively challenged team

The country club attitude is getting pretty annoying. When it's working it's fine, but you can't have the players running the show when the team is playing so poorly. They were given that trust and they failed to make it work. The Sedins needed their world shook up to show them that playing together on the 1st line isn't their god given right. It's not that I see the Sedins as arrogant or egotistical it's just that they seem to be too set in their ways or close minded and aren't as willing to adapt as they need to be.

Tony never disappoints.

His idiocy always rises to the top.

Had trouble reading past the whole "the Twins never have to kill penalties" thing.

That about sums up Tony's density.

As for Tony's pretenses to coach, there's a reason Henrik sets up on the right half boards. Garrison's laughing at the suggestion that running the powerplay from the left side is genius, and noting that he can shoot the puck from either side, may have something to do with the fact that he did precisely the opposite - shoot the puck from the right side on the powerplay - when he tallied 16 goals in Florida last season.

And when he's on the 2nd unit, where does he shoot the puck from?

Being on the right side on the point of the pp allows for the one-timer from both the right half-boards, where Henrik sets up, and the cross ice pass from the blueliner on the left side. Having your primary shooter being a left handed shot on the left side of the point...isn't it elementary how dumb that is? That eliminates the one-timer from the right point, and would have Henrik handling the puck with his forehand directed down low were he to move to the left side.

Is this Tony G's genius plan for making Garrison and the pp more productive?

Thanks for coming out Tony.

The ironing is that you are the most prolific producer of bullbleep in the city, and you've just dumped your latest load.

Absolute garbage from Tony G again.

Rips into Henrik...yet a few weeks ago writes an op-ed piece that the media should ease up on the Twins for their contributions to the team.

Effing jerk.

Anyone that reads this and derives opinion from it, should always question the author.

Hey Tony, you made your bed with Gillis awhile back. No need to keep on whining that you now have limited access to the team.

Yeah - at least in that rare instance Gallagher was doing something outside the box where he is concerned - he wasn't nitpicking the home team from his halfwit perspective - he was defending the hometeam from his halfwit perspective.

Not sure what is worse haha....

But what you say is true - Thornton was exposed by Marchand (in Big Bad Blog).

“I’m going to clear it up for everyone who’s listening,” Marchand said. “It was actually a really sneaky play by Thorty. Weise was trying to fight McQuaid, who was standing behind Thornton on the point. McQuaid was going to fight him. So, Weise was yelling and saying, ‘Yeah, let’s go, let’s go.’

“Thorty just figured that at that point he’d drop his gloves and surprise Weise. And the ref just kind of heard Weise yelling ‘Let’s go’ and thought he was talking to Thorty and conning him into a penalty. Thorty kind of surprised him when Thorty dropped his gloves. Weise had no idea Thorty was going to do that.”

Truth. Henrik was arguably our best player in the series vs the Kings and Daniel looked good despite coming off a concussion when he got back. They weren't great vs the Sharks they still led the team in points.

On another note, Kane and Toews combined for 0 goals against the Wild. What a couple of pylons.

If you can do a better job than those that make a living doing it I am all ears to your thesis.

Until that point in time I suggest their quality of performance dictate their employment status.,as most every REAL job is performance based.
