All We are Saying...Is Give Booth a Chance

BananaMash, my one hope is that it was caused by playing in that hellhole in Chicago bringing him down, maybe a good pre season will see him get his confidence back. He is another player who took a bad concussion in the AHL last season.

He had the 3rd highest corsi on the team this year despite playing with two awful corsi players (Kassian & Lapierre). Also, Lappy and Kass combined for something like 1 point over their last 29 games combined. So coming in off of injury, playing 12 minutes a night with statistically awful players, throwing hits, and being able to carry the play offensively with scoring chances is not something to simply brush aside as an awful performance (despite his low point production).

I highly doubt Raymond or even Higgins would have had that impact in a similar situation. Booth is not a star player but I would not be at all surprised if he scored 30 goals on the second line next season.

Given consistent 2nd line ice time Booth should be good for about 20 goals.

He looked good at times when healthy and playing with Kesler.

If he prayed less about being healthy and actually trained to get healthy he'd be a whole lot better.

NO! he's had a chance, and he sucks... i dont think he has a 20+ goal season left in him. he's no kesler and thats the type of play thats expected of him. he has no playmaking abilities either. dump him.

if there was a stat for turnover/playmade or goal. booth would be exposed. if when you touch the puck, it is more likely to end up on the opposing teams sticks, your value is nil. I never understood the buzz about booth, without the hype he would be completely invisible.

Booth should have a chance to prove himself this coming season. If he can stay healthy, he will be a good addition to the team. If not, he will probably be traded for a low pick or (more probably) be bought out before trade deadline.
