NexusRift
Just as I felt for Pat Quinn in '94, I felt for AV as well. To have been the head coach of a Vancouver Canuck Stanley Cup Championship team would've been glorious. Alas, it happened for neither........aroo........c'est la vie. Guy is a class act. Sad it's always the coach that's the scapegoat, but such as it is in todays NHL. Best of luck to you, AV. I'm confident that you'll land another job elsewhere and will achieve greatness with them. Everybody Hates Raymond
If we hire Tippett, GMMG fired AV solely to save his sorry ass. That's all. Best of luck in Dallas, Alain.

Giant Inflatable Beaver
Thanks for everything AV. Going to miss those shots of him laughing on the bench the most.
Specter's Vengeance
You'll go down in Canucks history as the Winning-est coach in this franchise and for good reason. Alain you've brought success here and, for that, the fans will never forget you. Not just for this generation but for any that follow. Thank you for providing the city of Vancouver, the Province of British Columbia and those Canuck fans around the world, the honor of what our team has accomplished under your supervision. I, and the rest of the Canuck fanbase, wish you the best of luck where ever your career takes you. Thank you and best of luck to you, sir.
Neversummer
Strombone @strombone17h Since our 1st year when we arrived together, AV would always tell me that he'd be gone before I would. I guess he was right. Very ironic....
Captain Aerosex
I like AV, don't care about all the hate he gets. He's a great guy. I hope he wins a Cup one day.

BananaMash
He is a fantastic coach and a good person, even though I thought it was time to let him go after our first round exit versus the Kings. Coaches have a shelf life in their cities, and it just seemed like his was up here. He'll find another job in the NHL for sure.

oldnews
An entertaining debate with no winner.... between those who could build a better team than MG, and those who could outcoach AV...
Underachieving Hero of CDC
He's a great coach and there are a few teams around the league that should probably be taking a really serious look at him right now.
