[Report] Avalanche coach wants to look into trading first overall

Recommended Posts

Again the sticking point is Roy. He is a bull and he will get his way. He has experience with Luongo, he helped mentor him in Quebec, introduced him to Allaire and if the reports are right enjoyed him in juniors and followed closely. The fact Roy, Allaire and Luongo have that 6 degrees of separation and that Roy is a build from the crease out coach is the most intriguing possibility of any deal getting done. We will never know for sure but Luongo our 1st this year our first next year and a prized prospect could be good bargaining points. If, If If etc etc etc

Maybe even the flames might make a push, they also have 3 draft picks this year and are dying to get the true first line center (which they thought O'Rielly was) Maybe flames make a trade with Florida and hope COL picks Jones, Calgary could offer 6th overall + STL 1st round pick + player

According to CBC (2nd intermission during the Pens/Goons game), The only way the pick will be traded is if #2 or #3 are going back to Colorado! News flash, those 2 picks have almost the exact same value as the 1st overall.
