DeNiro
Sign Bryzgalov!!! Seriously though, I wouldn't mind Briere here on a cheap short term contract. The Canucks don't have a lot of cap space or assets to work with, so they need to look at some bargain players. Signing players like Clowe or Clarkson to long term overpriced deals is not going to help this team going forward. And even though they need more size, they definitely need more skill. If the G-man wants to follow the Detroit model, they often add cheap veteran players to their core.
Tangerines
Couturier I think is the better fit as he can be a great 3rd liner & if Henrik + Daniel elect to come back on a shorter term deal (2 -3 years) by the time that contract is over he will be perfect to take over the 2nd line. I honestly think Philly & NYI are the ideal trade partners this off season for Vancouver and if pulled off right MG could do a quick retool while setting up the future nicely
ForsbergTheGreat
If Streit signs it does two things: 1)Lowers what Philly would be willing to give up for Edler 2)Increases Edlers market value in the summer for other teams as there is one less sought after D on the UFA market

Or flip it and go ___________________________ Luongo + Phi 1st For New Jersey 1st ^ that guarantees that you get either Jones mackinnon drouin nichushkin barkov lindholm Monahon nurse shinkaruk Or Schneider + Phi 1st For Colorado 1st = mackinnon Cap allows us to get streit or another star defense

DrChill
Yes I agree. If we were to land Couturier and a first for Edler and Luongo I'd be ok with that. Then our Line up could look like this: Sedin Sedin Kassian Booth Kesler Jensen Higgins Couturier Burrows Lain Gaunce Hansen Hammer Juice Garrison Corrado Ballard Tanev
