Hence, time for a bit of fun, Canucks are with out a coach and the only nominees are the FRIENDS character, so you decide who its going to be! 1) Chandler Bing Pros- - Show's lots of determination and spontaneity when he quits his stable job for a new horizon... Could relay into an interesting blend of coaching - Would be a hoot in interviews, easily the funniest candidate Cons- - Seems really insecure due to past history - Humour should not be the main part of deciding an NHL-calibre - Is controlled by his wife, very unlikely to control an NHL team 2) Ross Geller Pros- - Successfully overcame living with Monica - equipped unagi (great for shootouts, a type of sixth sense) - Has overcome 3 divorces and continues to shine - Can gain respect of university students - Can have the tendency to go 'Red Ross' - Can get accustomed to new situations (ala Ugly Naked Guy encounter) Cons- - Has three failed marriage, can he really lead an NHL team to success? - Shows jealousy - Took him 9 years to get to championship (ala Rachel green) 3) Joey Tribbiani Pros- - Overcame living with a million sisters - Mentally tough, has a fair amount of hockey sense - Shows tremendous amount of loyalty - Could have a potential passion for hockey (ala Sandwiches) Cons- - Lacks common sense Monica Geller Pros- - born to lead - very organized, demands respect, expects orders to be followed - Extremely competive - Overachiever Cons- - She may be too much to handle 5) Rachel Green - Pros- - Has shown leadership skills in the past (teaching joey boating) - Went from completely dependendant to independant Cons- - may be too good looking to be effective leader for the men of NHL team - has been known for being a pushover 6) Phoebe Buffay Pros- - Life on the street has made her mentally tough, could handle the pressures of a hockey market - could double as the team masseuse too, saving costs for management Cons- - has many idiosyncratic traits Honourable Mention: Gunther Pros- - Loyal to an employer - very, very commited to a goal (ala rachel, could be extrapolated to winning the stanley cup) Cons- - might be too commited So there you have it, who would you pick as Canucks coach? Chandler is a numbers guy but Joey would coach with some passion so the Canucks are best suited to go with Head Coach Bing with Assistant Tribiani being there for the players to vent to. I would pick Joey as a head coach because he is passionate about hockey and knows the game and Chandler as an assistant coach but only if he showed up to the games in the rabbit costume he is wearing in the picture.
