Yes we already have Eriksson and Lack, but if Schneider goes it cant hurt to draft the young kid. If Luongo wants out in 2-3 year then he will almost be N.H.L ready. We could use him in the future. I think are goaltending will be great and set for the future if we can get him. Will he still be available?? I think the Canucks would be lucky to get him. Thoughts?

We have Lack, Ericsson and Cannata already, I'm content with them, we need help in other areas.

Maybe if we trade Edler we can get a 1st and a player and hopefully that team has a pick around 15-20

If he is still available at 22 there is no way Calgary should pass on him.

We need players like MacKinnon, Druoin, and Mantha. Even players like Lazar that is good in skating through traffic and goes to the dirty areas.

Lack and Ericksson are great depth. Lack has AHL experience, Ericksson has Elite league experience.
One position we don't need is Goaltending.

This.

We are fine for goalies. It's time this team addressed it shortfalls.

Not likely going to be there...I would be shocked if none of the top 10 drafting teams don't take this guy, if your team has plans for a cup this guy would be one of the pieces you need to get there.

Luongo is signed for 9 more years. Canucks should draft a goalie in 2018.

Luo is in no mood to come back here after all that went down the last year.
Now Corey is being shopped by Gillis.
A talented prospect is not going to fill this void that could be upon this team by this afternoon.

I was half thinking that last night. Then again I was pretty drunk.

It definitely would be great timing wise. Furcale could be brought along the right way and in 4-5 years when Luongo is ready to be put to pasture he would hopefully be ready. And that's besides the other goaltending we have in the system.

I think he could drop. Goalies are never slotted into the order with much sense since there are so few of them. As mentioned though taking a goalie with your first is ludicruous. They truly are almost impossible to predict if they will turn out and just how good they will be in comparison if they do.

Also, should be funny to see if the Flames are dumb enough to burn their middle pick on him.

"What players need is the right kind of strength and power. That includes learning to understand that leverage and positioning can be just as important as raw strength when it comes to winning battles in the game. It's more about timing and athleticism --and avoiding injury--than it is about how much you can bench press. I don't know how many times I've seen a guy with the physique of a defensive end line up a guy half his size, only to bounce off when he connects. Sure, there is room in the game for big guys who can throw their weight around. But for the most part, players are smart enough to see them coming--and strong enough to protect the puck when they arrive. There are trainers out there who know how to devlop hockey-specific strength--though a trainer can help only if a player follows the program. All too often, I've seen players sign up with the best trainer, but not show up for their workouts and never to reap the benefits."

We need forwards, not more future goaltending controversies.

If we get good return on Schneider (if he's dealt) will you change your mind?

After seeing how low the value of an elite goaltender like Lu is, we should never draft a goalie again.
