IIlIlIIllIlIIIlIl
I know who he is. He is a centre, had one good season with the Panthers (2010-11)and he's been a bum ever since. Booth anyone? He has decent face off stats but considering he hardly scores points (apart from that one season) in the NHL, I would elevate him up there with Ebbett and the other hockey greats. Oh and he makes putty look hard.

Pears
People who have Hansen on the fourth line need to give up their wake and bake morning ritual, it is clearly affecting their ability to think. As for Santorelli, good depth signing, hope he finds some magic playing for his hometown.

combover
i like it depth at center, look at the teams that went deep into the playoffs the last few years. as for hansen he's at his best on the third line in a checking role. torres hansen and malhotra was the best third line and a good mold to try to recreate. Kryten
If more than two rookies make the team and perform, Hansen on the fourth line wouldn't be a bad thing at all, it would be called depth.
poetica
Santorelli's crazy-cheap! $550,000 when in the NHL - one year, two-way deal as per Botch. http://blogs.theprov...ike-santorelli/
4thLineGrinder
the vancouver italian panthers? were loading up on good faceoff guys who can skate and move around the line up, great contract for a guy with loads of potential. I would rather have all the young depth than a high priced top 6. now to get that tanev deal inked

spliced
Always good to have and extra center or two around just in case. Seems like the kind of guy that can fill in anywhere in the bottom 9 for a few games.

Pyrene
I honestly think Schroeder should be given a shot at the 3rd line C before Gaunce. He did really well in the span with Higgins and Hansen last year. FORWARDS Daniel Sedin ($6.100m) / Henrik Sedin ($6.100m) / Alexandre Burrows ($4.500m) David Booth ($4.250m) / Ryan Kesler ($5.000m) / Zack Kassian ($0.870m) Chris Higgins ($2.500m) / Jordan Schroeder ($1.500m) / Jannik Hansen ($1.350m) Brad Richardson ($1.150m) / Mike Santorelli ($1.600m) / Dale Weise ($0.677m) Tom Sestito ($0.750m) / DEFENSEMEN Dan Hamhuis ($4.500m) / Kevin Bieksa ($4.600m) Alexander Edler ($5.000m) / Chris Tanev ($1.800m) Jason Garrison ($4.600m) / Frank Corrado ($0.599m) Yannick Weber ($0.650m) / GOALTENDERS Roberto Luongo ($5.333m) Eddie Lack ($0.750m) ------ CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter) (these totals are compiled with the bonus cushion) SALARY CAP: $64,300,000; CAP PAYROLL: $64,179,278; BONUSES: $0 CAP SPACE (22-man roster): $120,
GiveEmTheCan
If santorelli can anchor a contributing third line with Higgs and booth, I suddenly don't feel so bad about our bottom six. Potentially great signing

IIlIlIIllIlIIIlIl
These Italians... Sestito, Luongo, Santorelli, Corrado, Aquillini, Torts who else?
ButcherG
I like this signing. He will see time on the Canucks, as a shoot out specialst and bottom 6 player. He can kill penalties and be a threat to score short handed. He looks like a poor mans Morrison to me. If Schroeder is healthy to start training camp, and its a big IF, Santorelli provides insurance.
