theo5789
If we could get a 2nd round pick for Schroeder, then I'll take Brule to replace him.
RunningWild
Coincidentally, there's a new article on Brule in the Province. Very interesting part about it Link to article “Naturally I’ve thought about Vancouver because I’m here, and I know they could use a centre,” said Brule. “The strange thing is that when my agent (Edmonton’s Gerry Johannson) talked to them before, when I was a free agent, they said no because of my father. A lot of teams now think of me as a guy who is going to run around and hit guys, and I know often in that third-line role you need a guy who’s going to provide energy. But they forget I have some skill, which is why I was drafted where I was.”
Frazzy Desjardins
I wouldn't replace shreds with an unproven player but Brule is deff worth a shot at training camp
Papayas
Schreoder...... Duh Brule is nearly done with his nhl career. I love him as a player back in the giants day (who wasn't?), but he can't adapt into the NHL for whatever reason. Schreoder is goin to be a very solid role player for us who can play with any situation you assign to him. Anyone who remotely understand hockey would take schreoder over brule without a second fault. Even if we want to give him a chance we will have to play him in the ahl first
Lancaster
Unless Brule have been training non-stop with Gary Roberts in an attempt to make it back into the NHL, I think is major league career is probably over. In junior, he was basically a man among boys and was able to dominate. In the NHL, it seems he doesn't have the confidence and work ethic to be effective. Should he focus 110% in being a faceoff, checking specialist, I think he may be a good 4th line option. Something along the lines of Ryan Johnson, but less fragile, more offensive and with a bit of an edge.

DeNiro
Brule? Really? The same guy that put up 6 points in the Swiss league this season? If he were good enough to be a third line center, a team would have signed him by now. He's not good enough for the NHL. How many times do we have to go over this? Schroeder's skills are so underrated on here. I can't wait till he starts piling on the points at the start of the season, so that all the fanboys start freaking out about him being a star. cbdoubleu
Brule seems like a case built for the Red Wings. If he can become a Dan Cleary, that's probably the best outcome for him.

Vapourstreak
He was on my all-speed team in NHL 07. Naturally, we had an 82-0-0 record, and a 16-0 playoffs, winning the cup. MG just HAS to sign him, it's destined!
etsen3
Schroeder by a mile, Brule will never be the same. Schroeder will only improve. I think Schroeder is massively underrated by our fanbase. Last year was the first time he ever played in the NHL and he outperformed Kassian and Hodgson in their respective rookie years.
higgyfan
Some fans sure give up on our prospects quickly. Brule? Really? Wanna give Schremp a tryout too? Let's give Schreds a chance. He's got the skill set and he's better with the puck than a lot of bigger guys. Put him on a line with Higgy and Hansen and he'll do fine. Or even better, get him used to playing WING. Nicklas Bo Hunter
neither. Schroeder isn't signed and I doubt he will be. He will be traded for a draft pick or another prospect. its not his fault he is a good player but just doesn't fit our mold anymore. We now have many big centers from our last few drafts and I just don't see Schroeder as a canuck anymore. Gaunce or horvat is a better options at center and Jensen is a better option on the wing. just no room for him.

'Nucks Fan from Montana
Preferably Schroeder, because Brule will never be the big-time NHL player he was hyped to be when he was dominating in the WHL.
