Alex Burrows 14
I'm surprised no one has said schroeder. He has amazing vision. But the sedins, burrows and hamhuis are also up there

Boudrias
School smarts = Kevin Bieksa. He has a Business degree. Hockey smarts = Alex Burrows: He has shown an ability to play anywhere in the lineup and make the players around him better. Close 2nd is Hank Sedin. He did produce the year Danny missed so many games but he has also struggled finding a winger that can be consistant with him and Danny. Burrows has played that role for a few years now. Drouin
The OP should have split the discussion between forwards and defence. And i fully agree Hammer is the smartest out of the d-corps. TV broadcasts never flatter how sound Hammer is behind the play. Seeing him live is always a treat. So underappreciated amongst the media and NHL fanbases. Had Salo still remained i would have him ahead of Hammer.
Coconuts
I'd go with either of the twins, Burrows, or Hamhuis.
JeremyCuddles
Hammer, maybe Tanev one day. Isn't the most offensively gifted but we may have a mini Hamhuis in that guy, if he gets resigned.
