mm winter ale is more in mid-november-march/april (depending on which beer and wine stores keep them in. the regis had them until may or so). the pumpkin ale is september-october. thats also real good. love the pumpkin ale

Best one I've possibly ever had was a specialty release from St. Ambroise out of Montreal. Had it last year, it was amazing!

They also make a great apricot wheat ale I drink in the summer.

Other than that, some of my other more regular beers have been from Stanley Park brewery, Whistler brewery and Big Rock brewery.

i can say im 100% a lager fan and most BC lagers taste pretty close to the same with their own twists but Cariboo honey lager and sleemans honey lager pretty good .... lucky lager is fantastic... and last year or so I've grown in love with Traditional BC Lager made by the same people who brew Cariboo i think its pacific western breweries. i get headaches from alot of beers and im not sure whats in other beers that do it but lagers dont give me a headache and they are the clearest , most crisp and refreshing beer you can get in my opinion.

i never had the pumpkin ale from st. ambroise, just the granville island one. i had the whister grapefruit for the first time at the keg and popped. that one surpassed my expectations, because i never really got in to the whistler brews but that grapefruit one was so great. i've had that apricot ale before and i loved it. i also liked st ambroise oatmeal stout

I LOVE the Fat Tug IPA, now I feel like going out and buying some.

How did we get to the 2nd page before someone mentioned Fat Tug? Best IPA in BC; the staff at Driftwood know me by name now (not sure if that's good though).

Other favourites include King Heffy (Howe Sound), Flying Tanker (Vancouver Island Brewery), Gypsy Tears (Parallel 49), Hermannator (Vancouver Island Brewery), and Kyrpton RypePA (Phillips).

Their pumpkin ale was seriously amazing! I really hope they bring it back next year (it was in a limited edition 4 pack). Plenty of good beers though, and I've had a bunch of the Big Rock stuff over the past year. Their dunkelwizen (from the picture) rivaled the pumpkin ale and Granville Island's Choclate Imperial Stout as the best beer all year. They've made a bunch of specialty brews though and all have been at least interesting, worth a try once.

For instance, they put out one a little while back that was a rosemary pale ale. I wouldn't drink it on it's own (or to get drunk), but it was really, really good with meals so I had one here and there with dinner. Chicken, burgers, steak, etc, the rosemary shone through with food.
