elvis15
this one is really good. tastes like a good IPA but the finish is full on pumpkin. i like this one almost as much as elysian, with this one's got bitterness ... Interesting, I found the Elysian yesterday and will be trying it this week (along with an interesting looking 'random tandem' white IPA from Granville Island, a Belgian wit crossed with an IPA). I'll be keeping an eye out for new fall beers so I'll see if the Tree one you posted makes it to the store near me. Link to comment
Twilight Sparkle
i was lucky because i bought that one at the met liquor store and it was the last one. they went fast Link to comment

elvis15
Oooh, I definitely want to try that Phillips barrel aged pumpkin ale! I haven't bought a lot of SteamWorks after their fiasco a while back at trying to trademark Cascadia/Cascadian for a beer name when Cascadia Brown is a style of beer. That was super petty of them when they hadn't even brewed the beer they wanted to trademark in a few years. Link to comment

elvis15
Considering they were trying to prevent other breweries from making/selling their beer because of a name they no longer used, I'd give at least one bother. Link to comment
gizmo2337
I've tried almost all of the October beers, and I'd say the my top ones are: Pumpkin Ale: -Parallel 49, Schadenfreude -St Ambroise, Citrouille Wet Hop Harvest IPA: -Driftwood, Sartori -Hoyne, Wolf Vine Link to comment
gizmo2337
Love the St Ambroise! Agreed! I can't decide on my two favorite in either category. It's too close to call. If you see any of the ones I mentioned above, give them a try. Link to comment
Twilight Sparkle
st ambroise pumpkin stll eludes me =/ Link to comment
The Bookie
-Driftwood, Sartori Had this on the weekend. Very good. Also Phillips Octofox is back in stores. Apparently they were caught way off guard how popular it turned out to be and were backlogged with orders. Hope that means it becomes a regular in their lineup. Link to comment
GLASSJAW
i have so many pumpkin beers lined up for this weekend. honestly probably 7 or 8 different kinds. anything to make the weekend with the family go smoothly Link to comment
LeanBeef
really good. this definitely won't be for everyone, as it doesnt have the real pumpkin intensity some have. but if you're like me and get sick of that taste pretty quickly, this is definitely one to try, since it's definitely pumpkin-y, but it's pretty subtle. i like it. philips has my heart locally, but brooklyn has it globally Loving the sig Link to comment
LeanBeef
I enjoy fat tug ipa, but im quite new to drinking good beers. Link to comment

Just take the two I mentioned above and you won't be disappointed. At the bottom of my list...Howe sound. Neat bottle, but the beer isn't that great. Link to comment
Twilight Sparkle
cannery's take on the pumpkin. not a whole lot of pumpkin to it. it's got the spices but no finish. it's an easy drink tho but maybe i'll just stick to their blackberry porter and the maple stout. upon further taste, it reminds me of dead frog's nut brown Link to comment
