Nail
The Goodz (a.k.a. The League Rules) The Start: We are aiming to make this league fun for everybody and make it a 30 GM league. First, we will hold a fantasy draft. Anyone is eligible to be selected in this draft as long as their draft year has not already passed. There will be 40 rounds in the draft. Enough for you to have a 23 man NHL roster, and a 17 man minor league team to start. The Scoring Structure: We will be using Pickup Hockey (http://www.pickuphockey.com/) to track our stats for the regular season and the playoffs. The scoring structure will be as such: Forwards Goal/Assist: 4 points PP Point: +1 point SH Point: +3 points OT Point: +3 points GWG: +3 points PIM: 1 point per minute +/- : 0.5 points per each + rating Defense Goal/Assist: 5 points PP Point: +1 point SH Point: +3 points OT Point: +3 points GWG: +3 points PIM: 1 point per minute +/- : 0.5 points per each + rating Goaltenders Win: 10 points OTL: 5 points SO: +10 points Goal: 99 points Assist: 10 points PIM = 1 point per minute Tiebreaker: Goals scored by the players on your team Regular Season / Playoffs: We will follow the NHL's structure regarding divisions and playoffs. For more info about this, please go here: http://en.wikipedia....ture_of_the_NHL Rosters: Teams must consist of a 23 man roster. This roster is made out of: 2 goaltenders, 7 or 8 defensemen, 13 or 14 forwards. Teams are not able to go over these numbers. The Salary Cap for this league will be 64.3M. Please keep this in mind while selecting your team. The cap floor will be 44M. Any teams out of these perimeters will be given 24 hours to make themselves cap compliant or they will face consequences. Teams will only be able to have 50 players under contract. Minor League Teams: Teams may name their own minor league teams. From the fantasy draft, you will get 17 players. After this, you can sign players that weren't drafted to fill out your minor league team. Minor league teams have a limit of 27 players. Player Notes: Players that are drafted, but currently unsigned in real life, will need a contact if you want to play them on your NHL or AHL team. These players will be able to earn a max base salary of 925K, but can sign signing bonuses to bump up the cap hit. Players that have played 7 or less years in the NHL are Restricted Free Agents (RFA's). Players that have played 8 or more years in the NHL are UFA's). Teams will have the rights to qualify RFA's if they are unable to get a deal done with them, but could be subject to offersheets. Teams won't be able to resign UFA's and on July 5th, all unsigned UFA's will hit the FA market. When a player is offersheeted by another team, the team that owns the rights to the player will have 1 week to either match the offer or take the compensation. The compensation is: $1,110,249 or below - No Compensation $1,110,249 to $1,682,194 - 3rd round pick $1,682,194 to $3,364,391 - 2nd round pick $3,364,391 to $5,046,585 - 1st round pick, 3rd $5,046,585 to $6,728,781 - 1st round pick, 2nd, 3rd $6,728,781 To $8,410,976 - Two 1st Round Picks, 2nd, 3rd $8,410,976 - Four 1st Round Picks When offersheeting a player, teams must have their own draft picks. If a team matches an offersheet, they cannot trade the player for 1 year. Our league will be honoring NTC's and NMC's signed to the players in real life. To get a player to waive his clause, you must PM the player agent telling him why he should waive. Some players have LNTC's which allow them to control who they want or don't want to go to. If you want a list from one of these players, please ask the player agent. Once the trade deadline passes, the player agent will open up to player extensions for upcoming UFA's and RFA's. Keep in mind that some UFA's will want to test the market, while some will want to resign. Our league will have two buyout periods. One after the playoffs conclude and one while NHL training camps are on. Due to the fact that we are picking our own teams through a fantasy draft, there will be no amnesty buyouts. You may make an unlimited amount of trades, but both GMs involved in the trade must PM myself. Points are not transferred when a player is traded. For example, if Henrik Sedin has 82 Fantasy Points for Vancouver and then is traded to Boston, his fantasy point totals remain on Vancouver. Sedin would start on Boston with 0 fantasy points. Trades are not official until they are posted by me in the thread. All trades are backdated to the day they were submitted to the league and agreed upon by both GMs, so teams will not miss out on any points. Players who are traded must remain at the same league level as they were on their original team at the time of the trade (Active roster to active roster, minors to minors, etc. ) unless they are eligible to be assigned otherwise. Waivers rules apply to players who are subject to waivers before being sent down if teams want to place a player from his original teams active roster in the minors. In this game, we will not be allowing the trading of Cap dollars, although we may implement this in future seasons. To place a player on waivers, you simply post in the thread that you are placing that player on waivers. The waivers placement must be in it's own post and clearly phrased. Waivers assignments that do not follow this format will not be processed and the player will not be on waivers. Players will remain on waivers for 24 hours. If you want to claim a player, post in the thread stating which player you want to claim. After 24 hours, the team in the lowest position in the standings with a claim on the player will get him. Players who are 24 years of age or younger and have played in fewer than 100 NHL games can be sent to your minor league system without being subjected to waivers. Anyone else is subject to waivers. Once you either claim a player or your player is cleared through waivers, you must designate a spot for them either on your NHL team or minor league team. Entry Draft: At the end of every year, before the real NHL draft, we will hold a 5 round draft. Here, you can draft players that are eligible to be drafted in real life. We will also have a draft lottery and all the teams that missed the playoffs will have a shot at getting the #1 pick. Injuries: If a player is placed on the injured reserve in real life, you may put them on the injured reserve in this game, freeing up cap space to do so. To place a player on the IR, just make a post in the thread. To activate a player off the injured reserve, just post as well. Callups / Senddowns: Teams may call up or send down players freely. As long as they aren't eligible for waivers you can send down players from your NHL team. There will be a 12:00 PM PST cutoff for roster moves every day so make sure you make your moves before then to have them eligible for that nights games! Player Positions: If you can give me a source from a valid site that states so and so can play these positions, then I will let you play him there. If it only says one position, you can only play that player in that position. If you play a player out of the position(s) he plays in real life, there will be further consequences. I will take position changes from the following websites: EliteProspects TSN NHL Hockey DB Yahoo Sportsnet Any other source, you will have to ask me. Resigning Stages: Starting October 1st, teams can attempt to resign one pending UFA and one pending RFA. If for some reason one player doesn't want to resign at that time, teams can move onto negotiations with another player until they have signed one pending UFA and one pending RFA. Once January 1st comes, teams are now free to resign all of their pending UFA's and all of their pending RFA's. Please keep in mind that some players may not want to resign. Once October 1st comes again in the next year, this process repeats, but with the next years pending UFA's and RFA's. Injured Reserve: If a player is on the injured reserve for your team, but is playing in the NHL, we will notify you in the thread telling you have 48 hours to activate them off of the IR. If you fail to do this, your top player will get suspended for a minimum of 2 games. If he is still on the IR after these 2 games, then your top player will get suspended for a week. If he stays suspended for a week, you will lose a first round pick. Backing Out Of Deals: We have a zero tolerance for backing out of deals. If you send in a trade, and it is accepted by both GM's, that trade will go through no matter what. If a GM edits the deal, the other GM can invite me to their trade talk conversations and I will let the deal go through. Back out of a deal once, and the deal will go through. Back out of a deal twice, and the deal will go through and you will lose a first round pick. Back out of a deal three times, and you will be fired

Its a fantasy draft so teams don't really matter because you will build your own team.

BananaMash
Just a question, if I was to apply, but was going to be busy for a while during the draft, would I be allowed to submit a list of priority ordered players incase my turn came up while I was gone? That's totally fine. Everyone can send in lists if they don't think they are going to be there.

JimLahey
Who is the players agent that we pm? Do we have to pm the gm of the team with that player? We are aiming to make this league fun for everybody and make it a 30 GM league. First, we will hold a fantasy draft. Anyone is eligible to be selected in this draft as long as their draft year has not already passed. There will be 40 rounds in the draft. Enough for you to have a 23 man NHL roster, and a 9 forward, 4 defense and 1 goalie minor league team to start. If you're asking how the teams will be set. gmen81
Also if you are a newer GM to these types of leagues(you know who you are) you guys will be watched a little more closely and if Nail and I feel that you are purposely sabotaging your team you will be relieved of your duties. Peaches
I don't think I will have time to be a full-time GM, but if anyone wants I'll be an AGM.
