[Report] Leafs, Kadri remain far apart in negotiations

Recommended Posts

I think you'll have to throw in a sweetener if you're Buffalo, particularly considering Toronto would then find themselves negotiating with Hodgson's agent Winters.

Anyhow - the Leafs can play hardball, but the reality is that if Kadri holds out, they are going to be downright Laffable down the middle.

Bozak

Bolland

McClement

Colborne

Good luck with that.

Bozak: 2nd line center but would be better as a 3C

Bolland: 2-time Stanley Cup champion, elite shutdown center, can play second line minutes if he has to

McClement: Solid 3rd/4th line center, one of the reasons why Toronto made the playoffs

Colbourne: Good prospect with 3rd line potential

You said you like the Leafs, but you bash them each time you get the chance to.

Horvat playing juniors really isn't going to numb the pain of watching our beaten-down goaltender let in softies and playing like the mid-tier starter he is while we watch highlights from New Jersey all year long. The only thing that could possibly resolve all of it would be if one of our big Swedish goalies dominates when given the opportunity, and Luongo eventuallly returns to the backup position. People all across this board really fail to see that Schneider was our MVP, and no prospect can replace that.

Why are people trying to make deals for Kadri? He wouldn't fit on the Canucks... He'd likely be playing 3rd line center and would likely be disappointed with his ice time like Hodgson was... Unless you know you want another situation like that? Kesler would have to be traded for him to fit on the Canucks... and Kesler doesn't want to play wing so don't even bring that up.
